There are few minor bugs in Rocket rom. I have finally decided to settle to midnote v2.0 ICS rom. The bugs if any are too minor and just negligible. I'd say it is a 99 .9 % rom , already very close to be as stable as my last GB LB1 rom
My latest update of Gapps.zip dated4 March has eliminate my caller id display problem
I have zero issues using it now daily as everything I need works perfectly. No comments on gaming as I do not play games

Well I do not really know the answer. I noticed after I updated the gapps dated 4 March, immediately all my calls from my friends and children ( in UK n Spore now) can show their names and photos. So I assumed it is due to this gapps update. Try flash it again and remember must clear cache partition and at advanced clear dalvik cache

I installed LB1 as read from forums will help to remove SOD. I think it helps as after changing to it , I had never faced any SOD. Apparently LP1 is still in beta stage and not a official baseband radio yet. In terms of signal strength, frankly I see no difference with LP1 - tested on both Maxis and Digi lines

You can safely use gb LB1 or any gb radios for icss roms

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS (coming from other bases like Gingerbread or CWM flashable ICS roms) :
1. Avviare in recovery (reboot in recovery)
2. Flashare il kernel Abyss 3.9 (flash Abyss 3.9 kernel)
3. Fare reboot della recovery (advanced/reboot recovery)
4. Fare wipe data/factory reset (select wipe menu and wipe data/factory reset)
5. Flashare la rom e rimanere in recovery (flash MIDNOTE2.0 rom and stay in recovery)
6. Flashare le Gapps 7.1 e rimanere in recovery (flash Gapps 7.1 and stay in recovery)
7. Wipe menu e fare wipe cache e dalvik (select wipe menu and do a wipe cache/dalvik)
8. Reboot

No need to flash the gapps 7.1 as is a very old version. Directly flash the gapps dated 4 Marc. Lastnight I tested with Team Rocket rom , caller ID also works with these Gapps flashed . I test it just to confirm my analysis that the gapps dated 4 march has solve this problem.
BTW ALL my contacts are sync with my G Mail contacts and All the tel nos starts with +countrycodeXXXX

Hi Uncle Benny, already flashed with the latest GAPPS.zip file... but still same problem... everytime wanna join few contacts, then the phone will vibrate once, then freeze...
then it will vibrate few times again then pop out to main menu... =(
tried both Rocket ROM & MIDNOTE also the same... what happened?

yeah, i sync with google contact...
but i want to link to my facebook account VIA social hub (for in-call photo)...
sync few contact, then the phone freeze then pop out to main menu... =(

ur problem is the (display name) not pop-up izzit?
mine is when join contact (facebook) + (google account) , error...
different case?

im guessing it will be a different for gnote,samsung surely will integrate touchwiz ui together with the ics,because gnex ics is straight from goggle itself.

Caller id display also perfect on criskelo b4 rom
My conclusion must be your phone contacts database issue

yah... am using abyss v3.9 thou... flashed then reboot recovery to redpill... then i just wipe cache / reset factory... then flash midnote 2.0... then gapss.zip... finally wipe cache + dalvik cache... REBOOT... just like this...

It is important to always clear all caches before reboot at every stage of flashing
And always use abyss kernel recovery to flash
Using lp1 recovery I find gives instabilty in flashing

mine is already running on the latest firmware...so the technician just reformat the phone and reinstalled the firmware..yeah i showed the technician on the freezing and laggy issue..then he recommended to reformat the phone and reinstall the software..after i got back my phone..it was alright..but the laggy and freezing issue came back at nite... the technician did mention that if after reinstalling the software and the prob still persists then have to send back to samsung to check...i'm not sure whether i wana go to that extent or not..i did compare with my friend who has a Note...his also same prob...his lagginess is worse than mine..so would like to know if some of u had the same prob...if yes then most likely the Note is memang like that and not because its hardware or software has prob...

like i mentioned before...it often happens after clearing memory and exit from task manager..then the screen will freeze and show the wallpaper...a few seconds later only the apps icon will appear...even now sometimes the contacts or setting will appear after a sec or 2 after i click...especially after the phone is on standby/idle for some time..so not sure if this is a an issue with the Note or not..

Guys ....should I get the USB Jig ?

1. You need separate power to power your drive.

2. You need to format the drive in FAT32.
