The selling poorly theory was just me making a random guess. I have no clue how the X1/Full Cloth sold. I think it's all simply Bandai being Bandai. They make MG tv Wing Gundam but not tv Wing Zero, they made HGAW Gundam X and X Divider but not Double X, make MG Victory but not the V2, no MG Turn X even after making Turn A, etc etc etc.
There were rumours about Bandai working on the MG V2. They still need to sort out the transformation mechanism as it is quite different from the Victory.
MG Turn X would be sweet... maybe they are holding it for the 200th MG? I'll gladly take an HG version.
From the video review of the RG MKII, we can see that:
1. The movable fingers, esp the lower 3 fingers on each palm look pretty sloppy. This is a problem for all RGs. For a smaller scale gunpla, fixed hands are better options, both look and function-wise.
2. The armour piece at the tip of the elbow moves, unlike the MG; however the knee armour has less range of movement.
3. Squashed face looks pretty off.
4. Sweet ankle hydraulic action, very good gimmick.
5. Much better torso bending but limited rotation remains the same as the MG.
6. Longer bazooka barrel but still small diameter.
7. Rifle looks too boxy instead of sleek like the lineart.
8. Hips abduct much more than the MG, and the rear skirt armour is now movable.
