MG Marasai is sweet. Spot on proportions... mean looking monoeye.

Hope it comes with the Feyadeen as the stock beam rifle looks more like a pathetic pistol than anything menacing.

I wonder what inspired Bandai on to make MG-fy the Marasai; after all it isn't exactly an iconic anatagonist suit in Zeta, nor did it had significant cameo time in Unicorn anyway.

It's most likely dark olive-green as shown in the Unicorn rather than black... but yeah a darker shade of colour is more badass than orange.

HG,MG and PG doesnt have that

These minor alterations are somewhat unnecessary. They don't look particularly nice compared to the AEUG version, and they are pretty much non-functional either.

Added on February 28, 2012, 1:59 pmMG Duel's review up now at dalong.net
http://dalong.net/review/mg/m151/m151_p.htm

I'm surprised that it only got 98 points when most of the recent MGs tend to exceed 100.

It is indeed an awesome looking MG, yet somehow I don't like the fact that they deviated quite far away from the original Duel design.

Certain changes are good, such as the redesigned turrent cannon which can be held in the hand, the shoulder design which resembles the Strike's frame more, and of course sleeker proportions in particularly the chunkier-looking leg armours.

However some things shouldn't have been messed around, in particular the Assaultshroud's shoulder armour parts, the barrel of the rifle which now looks so skinny compared to the original large bore, the unnecessary and awkwardly-placed smoke grenades (??actually what are they??) on the top tail fin, and the additional ankle guards. The Duel's attraction is its simplicity and basic design - those ankle guards are redundant in stock mode.

It's still a very sweet-looking kit, but I'm gonna give it a miss. Save 4200 yen whistling.gif

Bandai abit retarded.. the MG Heavyarms has the beam saber gimmick right.. but guess what.. the beam saber hilt is provided.. but the saber itself, u have to use the one from WING EW.. ZZZZzzzz Retarded marketing scheme..
*
Usual Bandai gimmick.

Then again, you probably would have quite a lot of spare beam sabres lying around that you can use with the Heavyarms.

fck... Banshee's boxart is sweet even though I still think the new weapons are too cartoonish than practical.

Delta gundam is too expensive due to bling bling and it is based on the HGUC Delta Plus hence the problem with proportions and skewed face persist.

Meh... still gonna go for HGUC Banshee and Jesta once HLJ restocks them.

i'm with you on this. i prefer the banshee to be ver. kia styled, without the new neck plating, and the ridiculous weapons. bean rifle + gatling for me please!

on another note.. MG AGE is starting to grow on me.. perhaps a cheap price during warehouse sale MIGHT push me over the edge sweat.gif
*
I don't mind the new flamboyant collar, if anything it actually adds to the effect of looking like a lion's mane. Always thought the Banshee's antlers look more like a stag rather than a lion.

I like the name Banshee, it does sound badass, yet I prefer the name "Kirin" that was rumoured when the very first Banshee lineart came up. Fits the antlers and also would be a suitable 2nd unit to the Unicorn. Nevertheless we all know why it is referred as a lion due to the tapestry.

MG Age... plain jane.

For detolf, u might need to add elevated platform so that the vertical space is not wasted. See the tier where the MGs are located? There's an empty space about half Sinanju height wasted there. Worse if u put only average 1/144 plamos
*
Quite true. The level where I house my 1/144s look damn empty... Probably can utilise some tall action bases to make flying poses.

The ones where I put the monoeyes are full tongue.gif

i never liked ikea detolf cabinet bcos its not stable . one small bump the entire thing shakes and everything falls apart ( the things inside la)
*
Detolf comes with a leash for you to drill into the wall in order to stabilise it. I skipped this part coz cannot drill into rented place otherwise sure kena ***. And yes, it does shake a bit, more so for me since mine is planted on a carpeted floor.

Interested, though I've never owned one.
How much do they normally cost ? And what's the scale like ?
*
Robot Damashi is a relatively new line of action figures that replaces the old MSIA line.

The scale of RD is quite variable. Some of them are approximately the same height as 1/144, but generally they are slightly shorter and have weird-looking proportions. Given that it's a ready-made toy, the paintjob on the kits can vary from kit to kit but the good thing is that it's more durable than gunpla (it's a toy after all!)

Have a read: http://gundam-eclipse.com/topic/4275648/1/
You can also see the difference between the HGUC and RD versions of the Zulu @ ngeekhiong : http://ngeekhiongex.blogspot.com/2012/02/r...lu-part_13.html

I personally won't spend money on RDs... For me the process of assembling gunpla is much more fun than the end product. tongue.gif Plus RDs are more expensive and not necessarily better than HGs, especially HGUCs of recent years which often have intricate details.

Looking fairly decent, but time to pick on certain stuff:
1. Scaled down Trikeros. This is one of the cooler-looking weapons (albeit fairly impractical) in Gundam, why dumb it down?

2. Smaller V-fins don't look as good.

3. Side skirts look a bit weird too but can't see much from this angle.

I wonder why Bandai chose to scale down Seed MGs compared to their 1/100 counterparts, yet decide to elongate the limbs of the Destiny MGs... Too much mucking around...

Please don't screw up the Aegis.... Couldn't care less for the Buster whistling.gif

There's only one colour, isn't it? The psycho frame of the OVA version is transparent orange with the glowing effect under UV light.

Unless you are also referring to the green frame of the ver Ka Banshee as the second colour.

Chinese gundam forums are usually bloody awesome, although many of them don't know how to resize their pictures before posting hence it'll blow your bandwidth.

the clear green pieces on the chest seems weird for me, as the clear plastic overlaps the chest plastic instead of embedded inside

That, and the face... hard to explain, but it just doesn't look right.

The bazooka still looks too small for a 360mm calibre although I'm pleased that they extended the length of the barrel.

I know I'm picking bones from eggs here... I reckon it'll look swell with the G-defensor, but no... not buying it whistling.gif

yes it does, just molded in the banshee colour scheme.. i bought the Destroy Mode only and it came with the beam magnum and shield.. not sure about Unicorn Mode though.. also the Destroy Mode has no pink beams, i believe it has to be taken from the Unicorn Mode which does come with 2(?) beams
HGUC Banshee in Unicorn mode comes with the bazooka and un-deployed shield.

Eh, but this pic says the different chest & shoulders vents parts 'can be recreated on TITANS' only, didn't mention AEUG
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

*
If the Titans version comes with two different pieces for the shoulder and chest vents but the AEUG doesn't, then obviously the Titans version is a better choice. But since it's the same price, maybe the AEUG would come with those pieces as well, unless it comes with some other additional pieces but if so surely it would have been mentioned in these promo pics.

Bloody bandai marketing gimmick...

QUOTE(TheAdmiral @ Apr 23 2012, 12:11 PM)
Bandai is taking the safe route in RG. They are making things that will confirm sell well for that line, rx78, mk2, zaku, freedom, strike, etc. Those who like monoeye domdom or gouf are either a) oldfag or b) dead. They are targeting teens and young adults who grow up watching things like seed and beyond so their approach is not that surprising. Maybe in the future we'll get RG Sazabi or Sinanju for those monoeye lovers since those confirm sells well, other then that, well just get the MG or HG then. RG is a mini MG in a sense so if your favorite suit is not in RG, go get MG then.

Cant blame them actually for taking the safe route. RG is still a relatively new line, they must build up fanbase first b4 taking risk making things like gyan or something similar to it (popularity wise).
*
whoa whoa whoa don't underestimate the power of oldfags. They are the ones with enough money to spend on plastic... RG Dom would surely be a hit.

QUOTE(HxiiiK @ Apr 23 2012, 02:47 PM)
because RG is already brittle enough as it is with the Advanced MS Joint which has too many small parts in my opinion.. feels fragile, somewhat.. if Aegis, maybe transformation won't be as bad.. but Zeta would be quite scary
*
HG Aegis is already pretty fragile... So many swivelling and rotating parts which are connected to flimsy polycaps....

Don't think they'll ever come out with an RG Aegis, as the upcoming MG Aegis would be more than enough to satisfy the fans.
