Not necessarily. People might want to chip in if they found out if un_id is not using stock ROM.

This is how forum works, it doesn't have to be open question all the time. For eg, if 1 person asking others to share homescreen screencap, does that mean the person asking the question should PM each and everyone person instead, as others are not interested on that?

Then he/she shld ask to all and not just directly to that particular person.

Added on May 5, 2012, 12:59 amI... doubt... the drivers from Tab 2 7" are compatible with 7.7". Who knows, maybe it might? I'm hopeful, as HC on 7.7 really sucks shittttt.

Just some 2 cents.

To those that complain hang/slow, did you try different launcher?

GO Launcher, ADW Launcher to name a few. Launcher greatly affect tab performance.

Also, try not to install Jack Sparrow app as it tend to slow down your tab for some reason i do not know.

I not a saint and did try few Jack Sparrow stuff. But well, some no issue some with issue so pandai pandai judge.

Also, dont too sensitive with the amount of memory it hog. Android keep unused frequent apps in its memory so that when you want to use it, it will much faster when you access it.

If there is not enough memory, it will do its own memory garbage collection. Avoid using so many task killer as you keep free up memory it need more battery to load those frequent use app state again into memory.

I must admit the stock launcher do cause some lagness and when i change to GO Launcher, everything is smooth

I have to admit overall, IOS is much smoother compare to Android but it wont up to the point the whole screen lag.

Does this just change the impressions on homescreen or overall usage of the Tab?

My last hanging case was, I just added a GMail account then I entered GMail to compose new mail. Boom, it hunged at the To: field, cursor blinking, can't do anything. Have to force restart.

In my case, would launcher fix it? No Jack Sparrow stuff in my Tab yet, still very under utilised as I have just registered 2 Gmail account so far, out of many more Google Accounts that I am holding. Definitely very clean, but usability still quite sucks.

Scrolling in browser, refresh comes in pieces of square tiles.

Well, using GO Launcher fix several issues for me.

Stock launcher (TW Launcher) have an issue whereby for some reason, icon will went missing (but app still installed).
This happen when there is an app for update and it will went missing.

It also have folder capability something like IOS if you own an Apple before. Hold down an app to delete, etc.
Overall i can said it really improve/smooth scrolling effect.

You can also go for ADW Launcher, but it lack folder features. You cannot group apps under folders.
But it do have an option whereby it can overlap widget which is pretty nice if you want to design you screen.

Both is free (GO Launcher HD is free), ADW Launher is free with option to purchase (unlock some features)

I think I should fix the hanging issue first before start customising stuff. Else if keep flashing and reset data in, it's gonna be real pain.

Guys, when I check my the region of my tab. It is showing that the tab is Middle East Region. How I can get change the region to Malaysia??

If you use CWM (Clock Work Mod) go back up as Nandroid, you can easily recover back.
It capture your tab's settings all as an image. Just recover from the image and your tab back to its state during Nandroid backup.

So far i have a very good experience using tab 7.7. Well, i have not tweak it that much coz busy with works
Will learn more on flashing rom when a nice and good rom is available

I using GO Launcher HD now. So far so good.
No point try to convince you You can try yourself as it is FREE ^^
