bump into this lovely tab 7.7 just now in the shopping complex just now while out for dinner.  Create a hotspot at my Note and tether the tab to it so i can try out the browser.  The Tab 7.7 really really silky smooth.    The display also as good as my Note if not better.  Really like the form factor, not too small and not too big too, about double the size of my Note.

The last consideration is the price - was quoted RM2,099 with 2 years warranty, not a single sen discount.    Quite steep compared to Ipad and other 10.1" android tablet. 

Tried 7.7 today. Kinda like the size and design. Demo unit was laggy here and there though

stupid Sammy, why afraid of the new ipad. its totally a different class. people might find something on Galaxy Tab that is not available on ipad, like the memory storage expansion, smaller/more portable, good design, phone capability etc. what a let down. :big face palm x100:

1 month drop RM200....i think it's a reasonable price for early adopters.
After all....most of us will encounter such experience regardless whatever product.

In conclusion, I'm sad. Why don't i start a petition and everybody signs it up? Later we post it in samsung unives.

In Dubai now. Saw tab7.7 selling at around rm2300, same price as Note here.

Finally got my tab today!
So er... how do I connect to 3G? I've inserted my Celcom sim card (it only has data plan, no call plans or anything). When I switch on my Tab it says "Please insert SIM card. Emergency calls only".
I tried going to Wireless and networks -->Mobile networks but get a "Insert SIM cardd to access network services" message. Is there something wrong with my sim card?

The sim card has been activated a long time ago. I actually took it from my Celcom USB broadband. Below is the pic.

I just used it for my netbook a few weeks ago and it was still working.
Will try and see if I have other sim cards..

EDIT: I inserted the Celcom sim card into the USB thumbdrive and tested it on my netbook. No problem and I'm able to connect. So I'm not sure why my Tab can't detect the sim card..

I did insert it correctly. Below is a pic. I just followed the image displayed on the Tab.


I even tried my Digi sim card that I'm currently using for my phone but its still not detecting the sim card. Am I missing something here? Or do I need to enable wifi first? I haven't tried using wifi yet though.
