On another note, anyone know how we can force the tab to display 24 bit color, the issue is that if you have a wallpaper with a lot of gradient, you will see the color banding due to the fact it forces 16 bit color mode.

Apps without rooting can force 24 bit display as I found out when I've installed a live wallpaper which have the option to force 24 bit color mode and it is heaven and earth difference....i'll update with pics soon.

Apps like angry bird are being force to use 16 bit hence the color banding and many more apps are like this. What is the point of having a gorgeous screen and yet displaying 16 bit color mode...

Yesterday I bought Apacer microsd card class 10. Previously I was intended to buy kingmax microsd. But it just happened the seller only have apacer in hands, so I have no choice.

Anyone have any comment on apacer microsd? Anyone having experience on it? Hard to find any review in Web. I'm just afraid I made a wrong decision. When I think again, i should hv just spend a bit more on SanDisk. No headache, more confident.

i tried to run read/write test on my microSD through my tab.. but it was error..

i guess i read somewhere that tab 7.7 prevent direct data copy/transfer from internal memory to external memory? is it? so this prevent the SD card test app to run? i'm using SD Tools. please advice.

No, it is Honeycomb 3.x limits you from doing the read/write to the external SD card. Read/write can only be done thru USB cable via MTP mode

can la.. to play movie, its a "read" job.. the tab just prevent "write" on external memory

the New v3.0 tweak rom by steve eliminated the bug of screen wil auto blackout when making voice call..

this bug really annoying.. great work by steve

How is the guide?

To enable WRITE permission on external sdcard:

Requirement: rooted device with CWM installed

Follow this LINK to download the fix file, and copy into your phone sdcard

-shut off the device and boot to recovery (vol up + power)
-select install update from zip file, let it run and reboot
-test: copy a file such as picture from your DCIM folder into your exStorage
