few things to check if you wanna identify a real or fake.

1st is to make sure there is a warranty sticker by the following distributor
Arista, avaxx or zitron

2nd go to a nearest nokia store play with the real phone then test the unit sold at the shop the difference in the user interface , responsiveness is very obvious for a fake one.

its marketing gimic doesnt mean someone doesnt post up means doesnt exist.

Even Samseng, HTC, Sony and etc have tons of roadshow. U should see the sony ericsson road show ppl passing out brochure if u interested walk to their shop.

1. Meego is a dead OS, there won't be any updates in the future - There will be constant update for the Meego OS their dead means application developer unlikely will provide updates or priority to meego
2. Lesser apps variety compared to iOS n droid (eventhough u get Symbian + meego market together) - very less compare to symbian but with ntdroid welcome to the world of android market

3. 1ghz processor doesn't seem future proof as now quad-cores blazing in - Android needs a quad core to be smooth meego does not need i can open 30 windows and it doesnt lag. I tried open 10 windows on my galaxy R start to lag lag already the joke is its a dual core



4. No hardware button, even if u did the droid-hack-thing into N9, it isn't that feasible coz droid OS need "home button" or "return button" to operate.. ermm.. right?
After you get addict to N9 it just feels good without home button. Only problem if u are in an app that needs to go back you need to click on the virtual back button within the app.the Nokia N9 emphasis three homescreen method that remove the needs of a home button. How to go to home on N9? Swipe only!


correct me if i'm wrong.. i'm not phone expert... 
other than that, i hav to admit, N9 is stunningly beautiful.. i awesomely smooth.. i tried it at nokia center.. i'm so tempted to get one.. i dont want to be a ifag or droidfag..

Too much brainwash everyone expect the higher the core the power faster the phone but they forget about the software manage those cores.

I believe if a single core is smoother than a dual core isnt the dual core consider as overpriced?
Limited apps is troublesome if u are into apps if not for everyday use N9 is superb but i kinda prefer lumia more

Rm1399 for 64GB is heck of a good deal eh maybe they are pushing the lumia than meego.

Sifu u go get the N9 try open 20 windows. If it lag badly below 10 there is a minor possibility fake. If above 10 no lag hello Nokia N9 @ RM1399

Its better to be safe just double check. Whether authorized or not just check to satisfy yourself
Fake means it looks like a Nokia N9 feels like a Nokia N9 but it works nothing like the real one.

I seen fake Nokia N8 before from far it looks real but when u actually use it u know its fake if you own a real nokia N8 before but for some users thats new they cant really tell the different.

U said obvious u still see so many people get cheated. If you see the lowyat garage sales there a handful of ppl complaint the phone they bought are fake.

I also experience once for Nokia 8800 arte carbon.

See in mudah.com.my the guy said real i call to confirm he selling for 1.4k ask why sell he bored. So we go COD. I have played with the real phone before so i know when i took the phone within like 3 to 4 seconds i know its fake but inside the UI looks like the real thing except the fonts and screen quality then i tell him this is fake he make the most shocking face and some lame advice he go UK la bought from someone dunno how many thousand but he drove a kancil come. So we drag him to police station and report. We know he is lying because what we say he twist he keep twisting his story.

indeed true. Just imagine how deep this brainwash is especially younger generation its imprinted in their mind but iOS did make their OS so simple that anyone can easily adept to it like my dad when he was using Nokia he everyday complaint lag lag lag this issue that issue. Since he use iphone he never complaint anymore except one very serious bug on the iOS. Suddenly the phone cant make phone call regardless what u do.

if you notice the trend pattern smartphone suppose to ease human tasks but end up it becomes a necessity and addiction.

The logic is simple when we face a problem we use internet or type in google so there no need to use the brain to resolve the issue. But what if the technology do not know we become dependent to it.

Just imagine your kids get brainwash since young just imagine what have technology will evolve become. Like i seen many parents how to keep their kids quiet nah ipad nah iphone nah TV rather than make them understand they must why they should be quiet.

Technology is the next killer

Like andy always said different people have differents needs so the device is cater to that person but you notice most fanboy when u ask for a phone sure they immediately answer the brand they like. The brainwash is that bad just imagine ads branding , friends brainwash, internet brainwash.

Yea when they throw tantrum parents must entertain them rather than the kids behave themselves. Yeah always see that at wedding dinner parents busy chit chat the kids busy playing ipad =.=" somemore latest one.

I also know some parents spoil their children so bad just buy them a new phone they can lost it few weeks later. Parents said its okay next birthday buy u another =.=" if my dad sorry no more.

Those really control only a handful most dont really bother.

Come on android is not the only OS in the world. The Choice for Nokia to take wp7 is correct but what they should do now is to attract more developers to create apps for windowsphone that will help them conquer the mobile phone market. Everyone have given up on symbian even developers are u see less and less apps for Symbian.

Android is overrated. It's dual core is more laggier than meego 1ghz single core processor and wp7 1.4ghz processor. look at n9 how powerful it is just imagine a dual core Nokia n9 but it still lack of apps. Now everyone talking about apps. I also afraid to recommend Nokia phones to friends. See Nokia n9 get replace by lumia and let meego die. Now only chance for Nokia to shine is windows phone. If they give that up there goes everything

Why must it be android? Why cant it be another OS? We should glad nokia didnt choose android because it will kill the market if all manufacturer worship android only just imagine now even china brand is growing like hua wei eventually it will be big war of hardware not OS. One day one china brand launch with all the awesome features lower price than all the branded slowly ppl will switch due to open source because china cant grow due to the OS now google given them a chance. Google will be filthy rich and eventually there no competition. After they run out of hardware challenges the price will keep dropping like the computer war. Windows conquer all market.

but look at iOS close source nobody can become them except themselves. Their value retains their quality retains. We never know nokia and microsoft might have some future plans that not announce that only available in nokia microsoft we never know. Whether to customizable or not all they need is to open it up and doesnt it will be close forever. Today android is nothing special anymore.

I kind of start to agree what u said due to the Nokia N9 thought why they didnt launch in US. The most painful is Meego. They make it so popular and unique then just let it die. The N9 was a test market device that cost like high end devices. My friend comment was the next phone he will go is iphone. The perception of people on Nokia devices are getting bad to worse.
