Unless your laptop can only support the 9.5mm ones. Interface is of course SATA to SATA in anycase.

Yes, that is due to the sound drivers. I had the same problem myself but once I uninstalled Sonic Master and the other sound driver, didn't experience that anymore.

I doubt so. It looks decent, the new design gets rid of some of the complains I have about the A3-series (i.e plasticky design). But overall, it's nothing to shout about. It's basically the A3-series with a nicer design and Ivy Bridge processors.

Most probably due to the slow HDD that Asus seems to like putting into their A-series. Swap with and SSD and you'll see huge improvements. For the LCD, does a recalibration help?

Came out a couple of months already. The new A, G, N and UX series are now using Ivy Bridge processors. Just look for the processors whose numbering starts with "3" like i7-3610QM.

I'm guessing that the shop did a full reformat in order to install the cracked version hence wiping out the partition. Why on earth do you even need W7 Pro?

You have to disassemble the base to get to the hinges and remove it so you have full access to removing the bezel. As for the screen, if I'm not mistaken, you would have to change the LCD display ribbon adapter as well if you want it to support a display greater than 1366x768.

Well, depending on where you buy it as well. I got my old laptop from Sri Computers and the HDD died within the week. So I went back to them where they would have given me a new unit but since the exact model was out of stock they opened up a newer but lower end unit to burn the recovery disc to see if they could perform a system recovery. Failing that, they just send it to Asus and I got it back with a brand spanking new HDD the next week which is still running strong today.

I have a feeling you can repair the keyboard yourself. One of the legs on the key may be broken or misaligned.

Could be overheating. Normally the system will shut down if the temperatures get too high.

6520G is the name of the integrated GPU. The external is the HD7670M. Normally you can specify which GPU you want it to run on but that will need some clarification since I've not much hands on these APUs.

There is a possibility that the fan is clogged up by dust. Can you try cleaning it first?

Ah right, maybe you could try sending it in for a repaste or ask someone to help if you don't want to suffer the maintenance time.
