They give huge discount if you are member. Mine is Hyundai 130 1.6 for KRW86200. Rental from 22/4-24/4.

QUOTE(eksk86 @ Mar 21 2012, 10:37 PM)
How much you rented your car for per day?

Listiani, I just checked briefly for car rental in Jeju for both avis and kumho and both give me cheapest at 80000+ won per day for the cheapest compact. Haven't register as member though...

They give 75% discount if we register as a member. I received a reply from KUMHO to my enquiry about their GPS. Apparently their GPS is in Korean only. sweat.gif

QUOTE(loving_u @ Mar 22 2012, 05:25 PM)
I think its cheaper if u rent via kumho, but as reg member coz u"ll get alot of discounts.i just came bck from korea last week n we rented a brand new avante frm kumho for 80,800 won for 2days in jeju including full insurance coverage, eng gps and wireless(select egg in the option).we paid around 37,000won to refill bck the petrol. The guy@kumho told us the rate is around 2,000 won/liter.N u nid the international driving licence number to reg as their member.payment can b done via credit card upon
getting the car(they dont accept cash).if u plan to cover the whole jeju,i would suggest 3days2nites.the driving speed limit in jeju is arnd 50-80km so u might take awhile to reach ur destination.

I am at my peak where I want comfort when travel. Cheap and budget travelling for those days when I was young biggrin.gif

For this Korea trip is an exceptional because my sisters cannot afford my travelling style, so I adapt to their budget thumbup.gif

I think most people will come to the point in their life where they want to travel with comfort and style. Money is not the issue anymore.

QUOTE(Shazzac @ Mar 23 2012, 11:23 AM)
Wah... your ticket is RM1000 more expensive than my ticket...... I wish i could shell out THAT much for a full commercial flight but unfortunately, i just couldn't!

Unker stimix once commented about the air craft. AA is better than MAS. But couldn't remember which destination. Either Taiwan or Japan?? Cannot remember anymore.

QUOTE(zstan @ Mar 23 2012, 01:16 PM)
Well you don't have to travel in style to travel comfortably. biggrin.gif

Impossible Air Asia better than Mas la. the seats alone already lose d.

Agito666, I remember in one of your post, you mentioned you bought North Face jacket for a very good price. Can you tell me which shop and area you bought the jacket?? I get myself North Face hiking/walking shoes yesterday for RM399. I badly needed comfortable hiking/walking shoes. Now I am looking around for North Face windbreaker but too expensive here in KL.

Yes, dual layer one actually good. Even better if the fleece inside can be detach. Something like in the picture. Is it detachable?? I mean the inside part one.

If you have korean name, can you post it here?? Maybe I can goggle for translation biggrin.gif

1k is same like here in KL. I found 1 online store in US selling for USD61 after promo for a windbreaker jacket that I like. But dunno they can deliver to Malaysia or not.

QUOTE(niel @ Mar 26 2012, 11:17 AM)
Myeong Dong has a North Face store, but the last time I check price is quite high at above 1k compare to brands like Adidas (having promo for 600).

Careful of imitation stuff, buy it only at North Face store.

This is the link. Sorry, I got mix up. The price is USD90. But I don't think this model got fleece inside hence the price is lower.

QUOTE(niel @ Mar 26 2012, 11:31 AM)
USD61 is just too good to be true, isn't it?
I found a lot of good imitation stuff also going at around 600-700.

I am talking about windbreaker with another detachable sweater inside.

Yes, you need International Driving Permit that valid for 1 year issue by JPJ. Cost is RM150. I went to JPJ last week. I fill in the form, submit my form with 1 passport photo + RM150. Voila!! Done in less than 10 minutes.

Jeju Island is not small. The size is 714sq km. Bigger than Melaka.

QUOTE(ik3da @ Mar 29 2012, 05:48 PM)
Just curious for those who opted to drive or have driven in Jeju before - do you really need an international license like what the Korean tourism website says?

And another thing is, how's driving there like? Easy? Confusing? Troublesome? I only know that the driving position in Jeju is the other way around for us in M'sia.

MAS sometimes close their eyes even if you exceed 20kg. If the flight is not full, they normally allowed 2-5kg extra. My flight from Perth and Jeddah exceed 4kg & 5kg respectively and they allowed me to go without paying extra. Domestic flight is even better. Last February I gone back home with 27kg and the girl at the counter told me, takpelah, flight tak penuh rclxms.gif

QUOTE(stimix @ Apr 1 2012, 07:10 AM)
custom probably allow but will you pass the max allowable weight enforce by AAX? or maybe MAS?

I booked with Jeju Hiking Inn in Seogwipo because it is near to the places of interest such as Jungmun Cliff, Cheonjiyeon Waterfall, 5 days Market, Yeomiji Botanical Garden, Chocolate Museum, Jeju Folk Museum and many more. Some more, if you stand at the top of their guesthouse, we can view beautiful Seogwipo Harbour.

Dear, its clearly stated in the website operating hours is up to 2130hrs & little note there saying some shops open 24 hours. SOME SHOP.

QUOTE(tientien @ Apr 3 2012, 06:24 PM)
just to add on, theres 1 24hrs restaurant at arrival hall also, selling noodles and rice, price below 10k.
inside the departure hall, beside the 'no name' one, theres still got other restaurant which still i dunno name tongue.gif
n for the 1 24hrs duty free shop, is confirmed cuz i saw the banner so may be still quite new? but anyway still got few shops selling perfumes, cosmetic, tobacco and liquor still open after 1030pm, not sure if they open 24hrs though.

link here to confirm incheon duty free
i saw galaxy note at airport duty free shop selling close to 3k in ringgit... rclxub.gif
