Which airline you take from Seoul to Jeju?? I am worried now coz my sisters and I will fly with Jet Eastar.
QUOTE(Joefox14 @ Apr 8 2012, 03:25 PM) Hi...just back from Seoul this morning. Wanna share my experience to those going to Jeju. Always safer to buy air ticket from airline with bigger plane e.g. 737-400 above especially when there's extremely windy condition in Jeju. My flight from Jeju to Busan apparently got cancelled due to strong wind condition on that day. Was told that all possible flights out of Jeju was taken up on the same day. Luckily a ground staff of a bigger airline had an initiative to find 2 available tickets for me and my wife. Really thank you for her effort...else will be stranded in Jeju for another 2 days. 1 minus point in Jeju airport despite being an international airport, their announcements all in Korean. |

From what I gather, it is better for us to use T-Money instead of Korean Pass. Maybe unker stimix want to add more info on this??
QUOTE(ccmd @ Apr 9 2012, 07:01 PM) Unfortunately, I don't understand Chinese. Can anyone help translate please? I can only take note of the location LOL. Btw, I'm flying in with AA evening flight and I want to buy the Korea Pass (for the free transport top up). Does anyone know if the counter at the airport is still open at night? Looks like it can only be purchased at the airport. And is it worth it to redah all the traffic to get the coupon book from Plaza Korea? Traffic jam is terrible there |

I went to Johor Premium Outlet on 30/3 and the item was ok. I bought 2 pairs of Levi's jeans for RM278. For men, another 20% if you buy 3 pairs. I bought Adidas windbreaker for RM150. My sister told me CK and DKNY item in JPO not bad also. The price almost similiar in UK during sales.
QUOTE(sfwong1 @ Apr 16 2012, 09:00 PM) anyone been to the yeoju premium outlet? mind to tell more about brands they sell there and the pricing? Added on April 17, 2012, 11:42 amJust want to double confirm again. I know Korea money changer does not accept RM. Any banks in Korea accept RM?? QUOTE(Luminous2 @ Apr 17 2012, 10:02 PM) Just got back from Seoul Anyway, the weather is getting hotter day by day. Night is still cold though, less than 10 Celsius consistently. Had the best adventure and also an eye opener to me and my friends. What happen was (in short summary); You really have lost tours. Heheheheh!! Japanese or Korean are effficient unlike Malaysian. We are way back behind them. Need to run faster to reach that level 1. I walked out of the train and realized i left my bag at the compartment above the seat. A little too late since the doors are closed and left! Thanks to two very pretty girl who works in the train station helped me to track the bag, within less than 20 minutes, their colleague at the next 3 stations managed to find it and sends it back over. SUPER EFFICIENT!! She even told me do not worry about it, go sight seeing first and later come back to take the bag (which i did), kept telling me the bag is in safe hands. 2. My friend lost his camera while taking a cab from Nami Island port to Gapyeong MRT station, only realized it went missing when we reached Hyehwa (1 hour and 45 minutes away) ! Lost hope on it though, but end up decided to make a police report. Made a police report there, end up 6 of them helped him to track down the cab driver (thankfully we managed to remember the cab's number plate). And then TaddAAAaa, They found the cab driver in 30 minutes time! Also arranged for us to meet up with the driver. So my friend agreed to pay the driver W100,000 (about RM 280.00) to send it to us at the police station in an hour time. Within 2 and a half hours he got back his camera As for me i lost (almost) 3 things during my trip to Seoul; 1. My bag as mentioned above. 2. My umbrella, left it at Jamsil. 3. My gf Overall, had a lot of fun there. Didn't buy things though because very expensive ler. p/s: Free and Easy is the way to go guys! Oh yah, found out most phones can be use there as long as u have 3G function. Off your data but ON 3G service you're good to go. Added on April 17, 2012, 10:18 pmHow much is the exchange rates?? QUOTE(michaelyii1988 @ Apr 17 2012, 07:55 PM) yes..i've changed some RM in Korea before.. if im correct should be Woori Bank.. not KEB or Hana Bank. Can I just ask you abt international roaming. I am using Nokia HP. Nothing fancy. No 3G whatsoever. Can I use this phone in Korea for international calls or sms to Malaysia?? I am using Celcom. I don't want to surfing internet whatsoever. I can do it in the guesthouse. I just need to call or sms my family in Malaysia.
On 3G you can roam only. Off your data and just ON you mobile network with 3G service. Then you're able to call or SMS. Most phones when they Off the data they will automatically go into 2G network instead of 3G. Surf net you can use Wifi [/quote] |

Stories from friends, visiting Korea during winter also nice. But it depends on you and your bf. The weather is too cold and most of the time you have to stay indoor due the cold weather. I cannot tahan winter and I learned from my trip to China during winter. My friends told me it was too cold until she felt her flesh was shredded by the wind. Not to forget layer of clothing. So it depends on the individual preference.
QUOTE(kalvianna @ Apr 19 2012, 02:55 PM) Hai... Would a idea of visiting Seoul on Winter is nice? My bf want to feel the winter season and i wanted to play the snow though..... If possible, please list what we can do there for 6 days, 5 night, where a nice/ place to stay during winter season and also did i need to buy the tickets early / booking the hotel/ motel (whichever are cheapest). and did RM2500 is enough per person? Please someone share their experience with me regarding winter season. Thanks |
