I wouldn't recommend any Bridal Tea House at all. I have seen 3 Bridal Tea House so far (not I stayed), all similiar size. The room is very small, the toilet is tiny, the minute you open the room door you'll hit the bed. Literally no moving space in the room.

And my dad commented, better to stay in a guesthouse/hostel, cheaper and got bigger toilet!

By the way, is the tingting aka hkzhan.com realiable? the disneyland entrance ticket is hell cheaper than the hotel offered.

Go to their website, fill up the online booking form. Then they will email the room availability on the date selected, if available, will request u to make deposit via credit card via PayPal. After payment, booking is done. When checking only pay the remaining.

Hi, in Ngong Ping's website, it stated that we can beat the queue via online prebook first. True? Or probably the queue to take the ticket will be longer than buying ticket on the spot?

A lot of people mentioned that Ngong Ping can be very crowded. Say if I go on weekday and arrive around 9 something in the morning, will it be crowded too?

1 or 2 mths ago, i went to their website and did like what you said. The first reservation I did, I did not proceed with deposit as I was still in a discussion with my friends about where to stay. When we finally decided to book golden crown, I again made another reservation. The quoted me different room from what I requested, so I did not proceed with payment again. I left a message in their guestbook about the mistake, and the management asked me to place another reservation (3rd time now).

This time, they replied saying all rooms fully booked. I tried again putting reservation about 3 weeks after that, they still replied saying no rooms available.

Yesterday, I used my husband's email address and contact number to book, it seems that the room is available for the same dates that I requested earlier!!

Somehow I feel something fishy is going on, so I am letting others know about my concern.

I have to pay deposit by today (24hr since yesterday)...What do you think? rclxub.gif rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

I put in my reservation for Golden Crown earlier today using the name and email address that I used during my other reservations. I just receive reply from them, stating that 'We apologize for the following reservation has been fully booked and we will further notice if any room is available!!'

Ironically, when I reserved using my husband's email last night (and he has not paid deposit to confirm), the management reply was 'The room is available at 2012-xx-xx - 2012-xx-xx as your requirement. We will reserve the room(s) for 24-hour and please kindly deposit HKD$600 as soon as possible (before 24 hours). If you couldn't pay within 24 hours, this reservation will automatically be cancelled. please feel free to contact with us at our guestbook.'

What the hell is going on, any idea? Just afraid that it is a scam website.. they reply email quite promptly!

Scam or no scam, I let other people to comment on that.

But AFAIK, the hotel booking system is programmed such that if someone (from the same e-mail, or even the same IP addr) attempts repeatedly to "reserve" a room on certain date (I know sometimes we just want to check rate and availability), the system will pick up that the same date is "hot"or "peak", and will either automatically increase the room rate, or set it as unavailable.

It is doable if you intend to visit NgongPing, follow by Disneyland. Lots of people visit Ngong Ping mainly to experience the cable car ride and to see the Big Budhha and won't be spending a lot of time there. If you can, go NP early, then leave for Disneyland by late morning. Disneyland itself, if you plan well, can be covered from late morning till late evening.

However, if you have a lot of days in HK, then it is adviseable to go on separate day, so as to cover more sites at Ngong Ping, and maybe follow by shopping at Citygate mall.

maybe co-incident, once booked, the room reserve for 24 hours for deposit, once the booker ffk, they only will release the room, I think...
The hostel got limited room and ensure fairness to everyone...

I think they wont reserve a room for 2 person at the same time and see who pay deposit first...
so in your case, u ffk and the owner have to open the room to other ppl, then u book again and no room...
when other ppl ffk, your room is back when u wanna reserve.

The best is pay the deposit first, grab the room, afterall the hotel got a good comment from tripadvisor.
