He wilk just sharing which bank he do loan last time. And kuwait finance offer lowest interest rate at that time which is 2.4 for 9years loan. I also do try kuwait finance before cny. They quote 2.48

I got my Saga FLX Exec CVT (RM44k+) in June 2014. Loan is 35k for 9 years, interest rate 3.25%. Monthly payment RM419 to Maybank Islamic. Not under any graduate scheme or MBB's 'My First Car Plan'.
That time I just started working full-time in May 2014; previously I was a part-timer while studying. It was difficult to get a car loan although my gross income was RM4k/mth (1 FT + 1 PT job). The salesman applied 5 banks for me but only Maybank approved my application. Dad wanted me to get a new car so he paid a down payment of RM10k. His initial plan was to pay RM5k as d/p but bank said if I wanted to loan RM40k then I'd need a guarantor.
Just a guide for fresh graduates who just started working and plan to get a car soon. p/s: My car salesman is good & efficient, if you want to buy a Proton car, can pm me for his contact.
Documents submitted: 1. Letter of Offer from Company (I gave 2 coz working for 2 companies) 2. Payment vouchers X3 months (from 2 companies as well) 3. EPF statement and IC, driving licence etc.
Extra info: Didn't want to buy a Proton car at first because my mum's car was also a Proton (2nd gen). It was quite flimsy to me (felt like floating when driving > 70km/h) but as a fresh graduate who just started working FT, the choices were Proton Saga or Perodua Viva or Myvi (Axia wasn't out yet). I preferred a sedan car. Surprisingly, the new Proton Saga is really solid and bigger in build. The car doors are heavy (not like previous gen.) and I love its CVT engine. Easy to drive. Fuel economy is good; I pump half-tank once a week or every 150-170 km (driving in town with traffic congestion, driving 1-2 hours per day), pay RM25-Rm30 for each weekly refill of RON95 petrol at BHP. I'm very happy with it after driving it for almost 8 months. No problem so far.
