But since in the tyres topic, am thinking changing rims. 18" or 17" better?

I mean I wanted to increase the width of the tyres really, from 205 to 225 but dont know should go 18 or 17. Price of course a consideration as well but if difference not so much, 18" may look nicer?

But since the gap between body and the tyre is so high, I doubt 18" will do much to make it look good unless we lower the car la?

depends on the usage and ur WALLET........18 won't cost too much to upgrade but maintainence will be a big different from 17" ( rubber cost more and also will wear out faster)

for ppl that travel a lot, 17" is recommended cuz of the lesser wear effect and also the taller wall, so won't bengkok so fast ........

but if u r a 1.8 i strongly recommend 17", but if 2.0 then very much up to you liking

good good tires will cost u aroun rm 4 - 600, average quality will cost u around 2-300+

so do the math lor

Mine is 2.0 la. Hm, but for 17" if getting 225 can remain within 3% of original tyre? Cz speedometer will be inaccurate also right?

Preferably 225/40 or 225/45 max la. Dont want tyre wall so high.

According to the proton guy, the manifold crack.

The front damage is not that bad i think. but the front beam definitely compromised.

THe bulk of the costs comes from replacing the 2 air bags I tink.

Engine etc didnt get hit by the impact so still okay.

To those who waited and waited and waited in BK, i apologize as the dinner was late due to crowd and we had to stop for petrol..... and I didnt realise i was coming from the other end of MRR2 and had to make a big u turn at Batu Caves.... sorry ya...

The drive up was very fun, had generalhwh and XCInspire behind me all the way up.... was going very slow at Karak Hway to wait for the rest, but gave up and sped up....

Uphill had fun with a dugong, pass him and he came up aggressive from back.... so toyed with him at the middle flat stretch (at the memorial) and then all 3 of us overtook him from left.... hahaha...

Then i did something bad, I pressured a Gen2 when I overtook him at a corner apex, till he buang and had to stop car at the left lane..... i horned to warn the 2 cars at the back... and sped on....

Hepi Birdy Yesterday to jXpold, we did sing the birdyday song in time to celebrate his birdy day..... !!! We loudly sang as we sat half the sitting area outside Coffee Bean Resort Hotel....

The young ones left early, XC and Potato left arnd 145, and MeToo and me went to request for funds from uncle Lim....

Just landed in KL.... uncle Lim and the 3 Gongs didnt support me quest for LCP + 421 header, but they didnt take away my budget either.... so no up no down.... wasted time to get points nia....

The impact of the accident, was towards the right forward side.

the radiator went in, but the engine still intact on its mounts.
