i dun mind AVB come man utd as assistant manager who will be appointed manager when SAF retired thou
*
what about, he's having double job as United assistant manager and England manager brows.gif

better get AVB la than Harry Redknapp, then drop Terry, Lampard, Cole, with Scholesy Carrick and Cleverley being called up besides youngy rooney ferdinand jones smalling welbeck brows.gif but SAF won't be happy then lol

if Chelsea can ditch world-cup winning manager, no wonder they did the same to the treble winning manager

Kuszczak slams double standards

Manchester United goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak has criticised the club for accepting the goalkeeping mistakes of David De Gea while he was hung out to dry.

Kuszczak, who recently moved on loan to Championship side Watford for the remainder of the season, started only 30 Premier League games in five-and-a-half years at United. He feels that he was never given the opportunity to make up for errors during his time at Old Trafford.

The Poland international is out of contract at United at the end of the season and is sure to move on.

Talking about his time at the club, Kuszczak was quoted as saying by The Sun: "It is five [years at the club], to be honest, as the last one does not exactly count.

"I've not played a single game after being pushed aside. This was all a disappointing end to my time at United. In previous years there was no place for keeping mistakes and I always knew that. It is a big club. This year there's more of a place for keeping mistakes and bad performances. This is the way it is. I'm disappointed about how things have ended.

"I want to stress I want to see the United lads win the Premier League. They're still my friends and I wish them the best. Why should I be angry with them?

"But I'm disappointed. Really disappointed about the way things worked out. I had waited and did what Sir Alex had asked me over this period of time. I was loyal but didn't receive enough chances to prove myself and that's why I'm here today.

"Edwin van der Sar is my friend. He was great. It was difficult to beat someone like this as he didn't make many mistakes. He was always fit and was good to learn off. I'd been waiting for a long time and Edwin retired. Then Sir Alex took the decision and I must accept it.

"I knew I'd not play if he decided to bring someone in for £18 million. It was obvious he was going to play regardless of how well he'd do. I've missed football so much. It was hard to remain motivated at United when I was training hard and not playing.

"When I got this chance, I wanted to take it straight away. I want to learn a lot and move forward in my career, whether it is Watford or another club. My contract with United expires this year. I'll try and find a new club where I get a chance to train hard and make myself better.

"I had a few offers last summer and in January but for whatever reason, I couldn't leave. Now I've a lot to prove. I'll make sure I'm ready for the game. Hopefully in the future if I get a chance to play in the Prem I can take it."

Sir Alex: We rode our luck

Sir Alex Ferguson admits the Reds were lucky to leave White Hart Lane with three points, but hailed the 3-1 victory over Tottenham as a "massive result."

The home side dominated the opening period but found themselves 1-0 down after Wayne Rooney broke the deadlock on the stroke of half-time.

Ashley Young's second half brace sealed the win which ensured the Reds kept up the pressure on leaders Manchester City and brought to a pleasing end an extremely tough run of fixtures.

"We certainly carried a lot of luck today," the boss told Sky Sports and MUTV afterwards. "It was a great performance from Tottenham in the first half and maybe we got our tactics wrong.

"We improved in the second half and pushed up. In the first period we tried to drop off and bring them onto us a bit but it didn't work.

"At half-time I told the players to push up on top of their back four a bit more and not to allow them to build their play. We did much better at that, but it needed the second goal to give us the confidence in our game. After that we played very well."

The manager pointed to Rooney's headed opener as the turning point in the match, but was quick to salute some impressive displays in United's backline.

"It was a massive performance from our defenders," added Sir Alex. "Tottenham are a very good team - you have to consider that. That was only their second defeat at home since the start of the season.

"Scoring right on half-time was probably our first strike at goal. It was a nice finish from Wayne but a real killer for Tottenham. They were probably sat in the dressing room wondering how they were 1-0 down because they'd played ever so well.

"Their form at home has been absolutely fantastic so it was a massive result."

The performance wasn't great but a win is a win and we should take heart from it, Young had a very good game and that 2nd goal just tops it off drool.gif .

Modric for me, he was brilliant today hardly missed a pass me think and our style of play should complement nicely with him.

Hopefully SAF can do some of his goodwill with Arry biggrin.gif , lobbying him for that England job is a good start tongue.gif .

poor performance on first half.. its a miracle to got 1-0 up.

Spurs started brightly on 2nd half, but we got a break. after 3-0 up, we controlled the game. shame DDG didnt keep a clean sheet. another good performance rclxms.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

great result. great weekend. we won. Liverpool lost. AVB sacked. i rate him, but Chelsea's job are too early for him.

Europa game in midweek. give a chance for Fabio, Rafael and Berba. give some minutes for Cleverley and Anderson. GGMU.

Why not Ando? He started the season very well with Cleverley and is returning from injury. I think Ando will be a good Man Utd player in the long run if he keeps injury free. By the way, as a Man Utd fan, you should be able to spell our players' names correctly; it's Cleverley.

I agree we are doing ok with Scholes, Carrick, Giggs, Ando, Cleverley and Fletcher. Ando and Cleverley will come back to boost the depth in CM. Fletcher will hopefully be back next year and his tireless running and boundless energy will be great for the team. Future captain material in my opinion. To answer your question, we are doing "ok", can we do better? Of course we can. We can have Iniesta and Xavi running the show but in reality, we don't have them and we can't get them anyway. There's no point discussing about getting a new CM this season since the transfer window is closed anyway. I agree that with Scholes and Giggs coming to a tail end of their career, a new creative CM will be a great addition to the team. However, we do need to keep in mind that we do not have crazy rich backers like Chelsea or Man City and therefore we don't need a CM who is 28 year old CM who costs £30m in transfer fees and £250k per week. I'd rather get someone young who can develop with the team like Ajax's Christian Eriksen.

sell: rooney (too big-headed, very high salary, ball control still terrible), macheda (rossi & tosic were better than him), hernandez (can only play well with rooney on form...), anderson (boroi & injury prone)
buy: hernanes (lazio, best as regista/current scholes position, can also play wide & take freekicks), kagawa (dortmund, better than Ozil, can run around as much as JS Park), hulk (he bossed citeh's backline in the europa match) brows.gif

noticed that City still has to play Chelsea (H) and Arsenal (A) before the big derby day
of course it'll mean for nothing if we drop points from our end against the likes of QPR, West Brom, Wolves, etc

He's still slowly working his way to the squad, did get an assist for Young's first goal but agree he has been largely anonymous throughout the game.

I'm sure he will be back to his best just give him a couple more games.
