actually to be frank, there might be some truth in what vierra said. why? bcos he looks like a key player for me rather than a first team player. but it's a good move for him, fergie and the club.

QUOTE(Tienhoven @ Mar 26 2012, 03:23 AM)
Damn so many fans here can't read. Never did I said Scholes is bad, that is blasphemy. He is one of the best nuff said. When you can't even see the real situation that is going on in the club then that's too bad you need to be spoon fed literally.

It's a known fact and is often mentioned about the weakness of the CM. Use some brain cells please. We chasing few midfielders for what? Call Scholes back for what? Injury yes, so defense all injured we got ask Denis Irwin come and play? SAF not retarded as well. Can't secure a move for a genuine midfielder so had to recall Scholes, simple. So what Vieira said is true.

Hypocrites mocking City for taking Tevez back as the real issue is you guys are worried. They never parted ways with Tevez, he just went away to get his head straight. His head is straight now, yours unfortunately is far up your arses.

Contradicting and logic? How about some blind fans?

I doubt there is anything smart would be said and leaving it there as it is. I am just a fan who asks hard questions and wants to see United do well. This is turning up to be one of the most exciting season ending because City is the one challenging. Burns me up really well.

Irwin? Or even Gary even, they are well past it. If they still had the ability and their fitness level are good, I wouldn't have been surprised to see them sign like Scholes did. But fact is Irwin retired over a decade ago and Gary retired because he can't hack it anymore and was struggling with injuries. Totally different scenario. We sign Owen(the striker) on.. And still kept him on despite his injuries.

We had options at the back, and apart from Rio and Vida, the others are good enough to make up a very capable backline. Even with the twins out, we could always slot someone like Park or Valencia at RB.

Evra, Rafael, Fabio
Rio, Vida, Evans, Smalling, Jones

At that that time Scholes decided to continue again, we had Fletcher out for the season with that virus of his, and Ando and Cleverley both out injured(recurring injuries at that). And at least two out of Valencia, Young and Nani were injured that time. It made perfect sense to sign Scholes back, since he was available and his fitness level is still at a good level even though he retired for 6 months already.

Valencia, Young, Nani, Park
Carrick, Ando, Cleverley, Fletcher, Giggs

We have the numbers and quality, but injuries took most of that away. Maybe we could have prepared better by having(sign new players) more options, but there's the matter of that 25 man list we have to worry about. And as the young ones get older, we have to make room to fit them all in.

nah..

of course, most of his words are true.. it just a mind games.. SAF reply that, just sort of 'pot calling kettle black' reply.. City need Tevez, we need Scholes.. all of us desperate to do the best for our clubs..

just the timing probably not right. Vierra should say that just after Scholes come back, when City still in commanding position. now, United are good position, Scholes proving he's still very good, and definitely his presence increase our chance to retain the title.. (also possible Vierra said that on January, but just release recently..)

but mind games are overrated. what the players do in the pitch are all matter.

like Benitez facht 3 years ago.. Liverpool stumbled just after he ranted to media.. he looked foolish after that, though what he said probably contained some truth.. and people said SAF won the mind game.. the fact is the team won it in the pitch..

to be frank ...scholes does not need to retire at the very beginning

he himself had some doubt in his position inside SAF team building plan

not able to play regularly doesnt help too

Before he retire and came out of retirement again, I'm sure most of us if not every man utd fans, would love to see Scholes keep on playing

for me...the short time Scholes didn't play... is just a short break for him to sort out his feeling ....

why people so worked up over this matter?
we are on the course on winning title, same goes for City.
More and more mind games will be unleashed until the end of the season.
I for one glad Scholes returned and changed a lot in our game plan. That brain of Scholes is rare nowadays. His strength is substantial to our winning ways.
It seems he just "left" United for a long vacation and returned in January. great timing considering our injuries. There is possibility that Sir Alex did not see any good midfielder with cheap transfer tag during January

On other hand, City is very lucky with injuries (until recently). and looking at their depth; they should cope up with or without Tevez. It's a desperation move on both sides but for very different reasons.

United invite three Brazilian teenagers on trial from feeder club Desportivo

Manchester United have summoned three of South America's brightest talents from their feeder club Desportivo Brazil for a two-week trial.

Lucas Evangelista, Bruno Gomes and Aguilar, who were last year pictured in the Old Trafford directors' box  with two other team-mates, will hope to impress sufficiently to earn a deal ahead of their 18th birthdays.

The youngsters were part of the Desportivo Brasil Under 17 side which recently romped to glory in the Future Cup with victory, during which strikers Bruno Gomes and Aguilar enhanced their reputations considerably.

Impress me: Manchester United invite three Brazilian teenagers on trial from feeder club Desportivo - Aguilar (back row, first left), Lucas Evangelista (back row, second left) and Bruno Gomes (not pictured)
---

United's relationship with Desportivo is part of a painstaking two-and-a-half-year project by the Premier League leaders to develop their own talent in South America rather than splash out huge fees on the next generation of stars.

Confidentiality agreements prevented Desportivo Brasil from revealing which of their 100-plus teenagers have a pre-contract agreement with United, but last year Sportsmail learned the three trialists, along with Gladstony, now at FC Twente, and Rafael Leao, who has previously failed to impress, were among them.

The partnership was struck after United’s pursuit of the Da Silva twins. They were first spotted as 15-year-olds but could not be formally taken out of Brazil until their 18th birthday, meaning they risked being neglected in the Fluminense youth team and they never made a senior appearance in Brazil.

Should be a good game as Fulham will attack when they can. I like Moussa Dembele's footwork. Zidanish at times.

Since players are quite well rested with no mid week games, I hope SAF will play Rooney-Welbeck-Hernandez combo along with Valencia.

True. No excuses tonight. Hope that goal difference would be evened out as well, but that would be a bonus. Most important is the three points to put us back in the lead, after city dropped points.

Talked about Brazilian talents.
Anyone still remember Dodo?
i thought we strucked a deal with Corinthians but...

Man Utd face losing long-term target Dodo to Roma
QUOTE
Manchester United are set to lose Brazilian prospect Dodo to AS Roma.

United had a deal for the wing-back settled two years ago for the then 17 year-old, but the transfer was blocked by FIFA laws.

Dodo has remained on the radar for United, but its emerged the Corinthians ace is now close to agreeing a five-year deal with Roma.

The youngster has been likened to Real Madrid legend Roberto Carlos.
