Can we really buy it, I thought would we need a Russian addressed credit card first.

Also not sure if this is related to the question but quite some time ago there was a... problem if you ask a Russian friend to buy the games for you.  The trend of asking people of another country to buy games for you is of course quite widespread, especially in Aus (I think?). Why the problem is only for Russia, I dont even know.

you can use VPN to buy games from other region.
most people wanna buy from russia because of the price. it's damn cheaper than normal price.

There are very high piracy rate in Rus, they do this to "localize" their market. However for the most part the downside is that most games sold in Russia are only intended for their market and underlining eastern european blocs like Ukraine including patches, technical support and languages.

All I can say if you really intended o buy or trade Russian regions games or keys just pray services like Steam or Origin don't catch on. They have full authority to banhammer your account without prior warning.

That does not work. Russian games you need to get it from Middle man and use VPN. Of course you may argue with steam support by saying 'hey look I was in Soviet Union and I bought this game. Technically its legal and I activated the game there'. I've bought COD MW3 Russian version (it costs like RM 80 as opposed to RM 150 or something when you purchase it). As long the transaction was done legally , you shouldn't be facing problem. However if the key was obtained by illegal means (i.e stolen credit card , stolen key) , then steam would just remove the product (or worst they could ban your account).

I've discussed this before and I've stated my experience. The risk is there but however its on a large scale. a lot of people are getting russian keys (especially aussies) and activating it. If steam wants to be like EA , they would start losing customers. I guess they are just ignoring otherwise people would go crazy. Just take a look at ME3 ending and how furious people are and some even went to the extend of suing Bioware.

If you ask me personally , I would not buy regularly from Russian store , its just that if the game is not region locked and there is english language and its chaper , then I would get it

AFAIK , EA takes it seriously. I have had my account banned because of purchasing key from a different region

no way to get 100% complete from that site as dlc also counted

example defense grid dlc, magicka dlc which you could not start them as standalone

unless you do not own the dlc laugh.gif
