from what i heard from a friend of mine who ordered from amiami,tokyohunter, and thefiguremall, xl-shop has the best packaging... i've just ordered 2 nendoroids from them so i'll wait till i get the package

I bought one figure from their website before. What they did was wrap cardboard box around the figure box, seal it with their company tape and mail it in a some sort of mailer plastic envelope. I would say they do it securely but I'm anxious to buy something from them if this is the way they ship things by default.
