A few days ago I bought a pair of shorts fr Brands Outlet n for RM59.90 n the quality was pretty bad. A few broken stitchings here n there. Went back to get the shorts exchanged but no more size so no choice have to take a diff design. the diff design pair i tried on didn't look very nice in terms of finishing so i took another same one fr d rack. went to cashier n got it exchanged. got home tried on the shorts again n realized that even tho it was d same size as d one i tried at Brands Outlet, the shorts i exchanged for seemed really loose. takkan i lost so much weight in 1 hour.

So next day went n complained to the Brands Outlet ppl. they din believe me at first but i took my shorts n proved to them. the pair i took home was about 2 sizes bigger. i managed to change again 4 2nd time n prob settled. i asked on of them y quality so bad one n they told me that "it's lidat one sometimes" . wasted petrol n parking fee.

in total the pair of shorts cost me RM 79.90 (after adding in petrol n parking). shud have just gone to Uniqlo n bought a pair of shorts there.

Any of u all had same prob with Brands Outlet ?

pasar malam brand are much more better in terms of quality than the ones in brands outlet.

Dude, shopping at these warehouse type stores, u need to test every goods that u wanna buy. Cannot assume its the same. I can tell u this because i have been buying at these places for many years. Some stocks not over runs, but are real reject items.

if im not wrong, fos and brands outlet is taking all the reject stock from other's brand. As other brand have their own qc ... you can't blame much on brands outlet and fos as they selling discarded branded item at a cheaper price.

however, they are utilizing big space in major shopping mall especially foc and thus they have to sell at higher price a little bit. Even for FOS taking up space in times square or pyramid, their rental is as high up to 50 k already , havn't add in utilities and operation cost which can goes up to 100 k per month per outlet.

my opinion is eventhough they noe they selling rejected stock, thus for sure customer will complaint after buy it due to they never check when they buy. at this point they should train their staff to handle all this kind of situation.

basically its just the same as going to kfc and expected to be treated like king. the price you pay is almost equivalent to the quality you get

Malaysians quite "charm". Ringgit doesn't go that far. We end up buying stuff like this and at pretty high prices some more.

RM 59.90 ain't exactly cheap for a pair of shorts.

I rike b.o, kinda cheaper than uniqlo.. Uniqlo is overrated.

So far I have only bought their casual shirts (checkered, casual shirts) before, the buy one free one at RM79.90. As for the quality, nothing to brag about. But I don't really like the quality of cotton, its like those pasar malam or low quality China-made clothe, feels uncomfortable especially when you're under the sun.

I don't recognize any of the "Brands" in Brands Outlet. If I don't know the brand, I don't buy.

I hate stiches, buttons, zips failing on me.....so I would only buy the well-known brands which last 5-10 years.

I am still wearing some of the 10 year old t-shirts (vintage). My point is that good shirts will really last with no missing buttons/broken stiches, etc till the shirt material give way....that is the test for quality shirt... Of course it will yellow, fray, and shrink (lol...) way before 10 years is up...

Nowadays, I look for prima 100% cotton. I think "Brands" is not branded stuff....by branded I mean LL Bean, Levis, not those designer stuff.

i only buy printed Tees from them.. cheap for daily use.. but must check stitching nicely before purchase. nothing to complain RM50 for 3 T's.

since i open this thread almost a yr ago...i feel Uniqlo t shirts r of pretty good quality. i bought a few graphic tees for RM60 n a few plain ones for RM40 and after many wears n washes they still retain shape very well. finishing also nice. no missing stitches, extra fabric n etc.

but the sizing a bit off tho. a few weeks back i tried on a plain white tee n a light blue one. both L size. white one was nice n fitting on me. but the light blue one was like a size bigger.

i bought prob 30 pieces (maybe more) of clothing fr FOS over d yrs. IIRC only one or two got defect. one shorts the stitching missing at the pocket.

I use to make my own shorts from dragon hide. Not very expensive, but the dragon quite hard to find...now all extinct liao, so I had to switch back to cotton.
