On Feb. 25, the French government released a legal decree, updating the 2004 Legal Regime for E-Commerce Trust (LCEN), which is France's implementation of the European Union's E-Commerce Directive. One of the decree's updates is that Internet access and hosting providers -- including service providers, Web mail providers, e-commerce companies, and online music and video sites -- must now retain numerous types of data on their users and customers. That data includes financial transaction details, the duration of their Web site visits, usernames, passwords, pseudonyms, mailing addresses, phone numbers, and passwords. The decree requires that companies share this information with government agencies, at their request, and retain the data for at least one year.

This is what I worry about since the server is located in France. This mean every users IP address will be logged down for 1 year retention by hosting provider.


Since you follow the hosting provider TOS;

Content
All the services provided by Guard Hosts will be only used for legal puropses. The customer agrees not to run the content listed below:
IRC Bots
Spam Sites
Scam Sites
Proxies
Pirated Softwares
Phishing
Port Scanning
Child Porn

We do allow Warez and Torrent sites but if we receive any DMCA notice, we will forward it to you and allow you 48 hours to remove the file(s). Failure in removing the file(s) would result in the suspension of your service. If any of the restricted activity is conducted on our servers, the VPS would be suspended immediately and an email would be despatched with all the details.

Backup and Data Loss
Guard Hosts does not offer backup services with any VPS/Dedicated Server plan. It is the responsibility of the client to take frequent backups of their data. If there any data loss due to any reason, Guard Hosts will not be responsibile for the same. Backup will not be provided to suspended or terminated account holders unless you raise a support ticket regarding the same.

Client Responsibility
Clients using Guard Hosts services take the full responsibility of the content they host on our servers. They hold the full responsibility of any illegal content(if any) they host with us. If they host any of the restricted content which is listed above, their VPS would be suspended and no refund would be offered.

Change of TOS
Guard Hosts reserves the right to change their Terms of Service anytime without prior notice

Privacy Policy
This policy covers how we use your personal information. We take your privacy seriously and will take all measures to protect your personal information. Any personal information received will only be used to fill your order. We will not sell or redistribute your information to anyone.

Change of Privacy Policy
Guard Hosts reserves the right to change their Privacy Policy anytime without prior notice.


The second question
Does that mean you can change TOS and Privacy Policy to suit your own need (when such needs arise) which might be 'harmful' to users?

Now that explains why suddenly I can't access the seedbox gui

So....the calculation, example: if a user donated on 15 Jan, then the account will last to 15 Feb? or just to 30 Jan?

Nothing, just for confirmation. That mean you gonna need to do some accounting stuff.

EDIT: Too early to celebrate. Just now, I tried to remove 3 magnet transfer from the list by using 'remove and trash data'. Then a message about "server not responding" came out. Now I cant login again.

I think I know what caused the crash in my case.
First, I was trying to remove 3 dead magnet links from list by using 'Trash data & remove from list'.
Since Transmission was unable to find the files to be trashed (after all, those are dead magnet links), it just either hang or crash.
If remove using 'Remove from list', it wont crash. Guess I just discovered a new bug
