It's a fun-to-drive car, owning 2.0Navi T/White.......btw, anyone change to brighter and whiter bulbs? Plan to change the fog and the small light (side LED)......any recommendation on rating so they match with our stock HID?

Cheers !!!

Yes, Civic do have traction control. it is called VSC (vehicle stability control). Not sure if our steering is EPS type cause it is mentioned as rack and pinion (electronic power assist)....

Anyone mod the lights?

My 3rd tank of refuel..so far it still show 10.5km/l as i am still doing my routine 70% city 30 highway. Already done my 1k checking at service centre. They didnt change anything on first service.
ODO clocking 1150km. So far so good.
The only thing i found out is the engine idle sound a bit rough while on the stock engine oil. Perhaps new car they didnt use fully syn? Exhaust sounds like diesel sound by the way..hehehe
probably need Change the ori exhaust to some after market exhaust ( will this void warranty?)
*
Your 10.5 km/L FC looks good.....are u on ECON mode or not? I have juz clocked 480km, the highest recorded was 9.5 km/L without ECON.......

All my 3 tanks i never try out econ mode yet.
10.5km/l is good? Still cant fight with my previous city cvt..haha
anyway if compare to fd version, which i believe 10.5km/l is much much better. Till now i really cant feel the difference in power for previous dohc 2.0 and current sohc 2.0. Only different is more fuel saving
*
Maybe the car not break-in yet, give it some time.....Yes, this FB version will definitely has better FC than its predecessor..........I have not tested the power difference between 2.0 SOHC and 2.0 DOHC, but theoretically, u can only feel the difference at high rev.....pick-up, SOHC rules

One thing i dun really like so far, is the gearbox.....it's a shame that it is still 5-speed, u still can feel the jerking when 1st gear shifts to 2nd......after that, it is smooth

Conventional auto gearbox is like that on the jerking. U want smooth gear, cvt is the only choice but pickup is terrible and maintenance for cvt is high too.
My previous cvt box, i changed fluid every 20k
*
Totally agree with u.......

Plan to change engine oil at 1000km service, wanna get rid of metal debris.....gonna use 5W-30, then 5 mths later upgrade it to 0W-20.....i find it hurtful to stay wiv stock oil till 6 mths or 10,000km

0W-20 is not advisable. Thin oil is used mainly in cold weather. Not suitable for Malaysian weather.

Most car manufacturers dont change oil at the 1000km interval as your engine is not 'broken in' sufficiently then. If u change then, the remaining pollutants will go into your next oil change which is a waste of good oil.

My advice would be to follow the manufacturer's recommended oil change intervals.

But Honda M'sia recommends the new SM 0W-20 for this 2012 Honda Civic. I am not going to change oil at 1000km interval, that will be too hardcore.

I'm gonna change at 1 mth/ 1000km, which Honda juz do checking. Then, 5 mths later, change again. Then follow the 6 mths interval as planned (dun think I will hit the mileage, seldom drive).....

That's y I plan to change during my 1000km service. One more thing I notice, the stock engine oil, I think they filled up slightly more than half only, try check ur dipstick.

Since we r talking about some anomalies here, did anyone of u experience this? When u start to drive ur car after parked for some time, u hear some clinking sound from front right wheel. Juz one click then no more. Everytime it happens.

Maybe the click sound it is indication of ABS starts to work. I remember I read that from some owner manual (other car). You can check your owner manual

Yes, like I have mentioned earlier. I am definitely gonna change oil at 1000km service. Then, 5 mths later change again and subsequently follow the 6-mth interval schedule. Dun feel good to use stock oil till 2nd service smile.gif

Interior although it's plastic, but they are installed nicely and firmed. Plus, it's a high quality of plastic....hehehe
