K&N air filter update:

Malaysia dun hav it yet, bought from UK. If u r patient enuf, u can wait for few more mths before local distributor stock in.

Pick up response improved and cause u to step harder, which means going against fuel economy...hahaha

But I like the response now.....that is how I feel, as u know diff ppl may feel differently.....

Any other owners using this K&N drop in, share ur experience pls.....

Sharing is caring smile.gif

Does it trade off cabin quietness in return for responsiveness and power? Usually that is the case if you feel that power and pick up has improved, the engine sound will be more noticeable as well.
*
I would say not noticeable.....

Anyone tried to take out the cabin filter and check? Surprisingly, it is not as same as Civic in US.......juz the cover and filter alone, without the filter bracket/holder....

Anyone solved the wind noise from driverside window? Today travelled at 155 km/h.......wind noise was too much, plus the tyre rolling noise......

I couldn't even hear what my GF said........

I hope you can stand driving in econ mode. I can't, it's so freaking lethargic! I'd trade better FC for better power and driving experience any day.
*
Agree, less thrust power but I felt smoother cruising...maybe due to change in gear mapping like how Honda claims.....

FC update:
95% city, 5% highway,.....ECON on (only nite), running wiv RON95.....11.4 km/L

Not really impressive ya....perhaps I should try 100% ECON mode.....

Plug-in thumbdrive to the usb port @ centre console. Ensure ur files are in the main, not folders. JPG only. So far it'll only detect that. Won't detect gif, bmp, etc.
*
I have tried that but couldn't find the option "import wallpaper"......I dun find any change wallpaper function under "Display Setup"......

Please assist.......

That is because when you turn on Highbeam, your HID stays on unlike H4 Hi-Lo.

And if you put HID on highbeam, it better be a Bi-Xenon projector, else in normal separate bulb like this, when you wanted to flash someone or to turn on highbeam for usage, it takes sometime to warm up.
*
I have changed my fog and parking lights to Philips CV 4300K, match nicely wiv stock HID....

Stock for high beam, I maintain as it is coz this is for better visibility when using high beam....white light spectrum is not good for human eyes, poor visibility....furthermore, how often will u use high beam...

Juz my opinion.... smile.gif

The door visors will give off an annoying whistling sound.
*
Sure? Dun mind spending RM240 for the visor if they help....

Regarding Philips CV 4300K, will upload pic soon....

As for Modulo, ordered on the 1st day, but till now not yet arrive....gonna cancel it n seek for aftermarket, but will get the painted grille and trunk spoiler anyway.....

Just want to share! before yesterday i still considering buying new elantra or waiting for Kia K3 or new Honda Civic.

Yesterday, i'm driving my Honda City 2010, when i approaching a T-junction with speed 90-100kh/hr. they got 1 car suddenly come out from the T-junction, 1st reaction is step on brake pedal. in my mind was "Oh Shit" it's seem impossible to stop. yes, with the steering straight is impossible to stop. then i turn the steering, my car like going to lost control but i think the ABS is functioning, i manage to turn my steering left and then right with my leg fully step on the brake pedal to skip the car with the car fully in control. same case happen to my friend who drive Kia Forte, eventually he crash to the divider.

On paper, Korean car full of safety feature. but why kia forte can totally lost control?

conclusion = I will be Honda Civic 2.0 owner soon, maybe taking the 1st batch in year 2013. smile.gif
*
Driver's reaction and decision can make a lot of difference....safety features can be there, but diff drivers react and maneuver differently....

Not backing Korean up, but I believe when it is equipped wiv ABS, VSC, etc.....they should work accordingly as these features have gone thru stringent test to get approval for the use on the street. Your fren could be unlucky due to how he handled the vehicle....

Morale of the story, drive safely and responsibly......Cheers !!!
