QUOTE(civic2012 @ Aug 20 2012, 12:29 AM) Agree...I'm using Primax 95Added on August 20, 2012, 6:05 pmI'm owning the 2.0Navi...I was thinking 2.0s but if u do feature upgrade outside, it won't look ori Honda right? Juz my personal opinion.... 1.8L is indeed plain. After driving for some time u will definitely poisoned by 2.0 features. So worth go all the way to 2.0 and u won't be in doubt, but again if ur budget permits..... Afterall, 1.8 is a good entry into the Honda experience....Cheers !!! Anyone tried out keyless security? After started ur car, put ur remote away and ur car will prompt that it doesn't detect the remote key...
But u still can drive. I have tried reversed my car and the engine is still running. Will the engine shut off or something? How does it work? |

QUOTE(mokhzaini @ Aug 21 2012, 02:55 PM) it doesnt shut off the engine. Then, wat is the purpose of the keyless remote? Have u tried bringing away the remote and ask someone to drive the car away to see how it works? If that's the case, our car is prone for theft.....i brought the key to pay bills for 30-50 minutes with someone in the car. tried playing with those functions in the i-Mied. still nothing. but if the engine shut off and the key isnt around, then u cant start it up again Added on August 21, 2012, 9:15 pm QUOTE(skyz @ Aug 20 2012, 06:09 PM) Is this full Mugen bodykit or juz the trunk spoiler? QUOTE(najib_ml @ Aug 26 2012, 08:51 AM) We only have these 4 option to replace engine oil. Just to clear my doubt. SM 5W30 (Eco Friendly) is considered mineral or semi-synthetic?SM 0W-20 (Fully-Synthetic) SL 5W-40 (Fully-Synthetic) SL 10W-30 (Mineral) SM 5W-30* (Eco-Friendly) Just because of the preventive maintenance interval is about 10,000km, better dont use SM 5W-30, SL 10W-30. My concern is engine life and fuel saver. So, I choose SM 0W-20 (Fully-Synthetic) but need to get antiwear additive because this oil antiwear wasn't enough to get 10,000km interval. SL 5W-40 (Fully-Synthetic) was a good oil in term of but this oil will drop my car performance. AFAIK the SC tell me about SM 0W-20 price after discount about RM161 = SC said 5L. Not sure about liter differ in manual said 3.5L.. but he quote me for 2.0L engine. Anyone having information about this? Agree that SM 0W20 has low anti-wear properties, but where can we find synthetic anti-wear additive out there? So far, I know most additives are oil based, thus dun think suitable to mix wiv fully synthetic oil. Correct me if i'm wrong..... This post has been edited by kc_lim: Aug 29 2012, 08:21 AM |

My SA did explain about the warranty coverage and servicing packages when I collected my car. He even photocopied the engine oil brochures for me
Anyway, u can check from... http://www.honda.com.my/sales/parts_lubricant It is given and understood. When u have such a low viscosity lubricant, u will need to sacrifice on antiwear properties, UNLESS they are willing to blend wiv good additives but this will cost the price to shoot up..... |

Anyone knows what is the difference between D mode and S mode for 2.0 Civic?
Paddle shift still functional in D mode but it's temporary shifting whereas S mode is fully paddle shift mode.....But, if u move from D to S and dun utilise paddle shift, the gear still change like how it does in D mode.... Confused |

QUOTE(alexio82 @ Aug 31 2012, 01:56 PM) That's intended. When shift from D to S u need to activate the so called full paddle shifting mode by either up shift or down shift once with the paddle shifters. I see, I'm ok wiv that....but what about in D mode? We still able to up- and downshift the gear, juz it won't stay in paddle mode permanently |
