Yes, Civic do have traction control. it is called VSC (vehicle stability control). Not sure if our steering is EPS type cause it is mentioned as rack and pinion (electronic power assist)....

Your 10.5 km/L FC looks good.....are u on ECON mode or not? I have juz clocked 480km, the highest recorded was 9.5 km/L without ECON.......

Maybe the car not break-in yet, give it some time.....Yes, this FB version will definitely has better FC than its predecessor..........I have not tested the power difference between 2.0 SOHC and 2.0 DOHC, but theoretically, u can only feel the difference at high rev.....pick-up, SOHC rules

One thing i dun really like so far, is the gearbox.....it's a shame that it is still 5-speed, u still can feel the jerking when 1st gear shifts to 2nd......after that, it is smooth

civic2012, did they sticker the next maintenance mileage and expected date in your windscreen after your 1st inspection? I just noticed they wrote my next maintenance schedued to 5000km and next month date, look like the guy still dreaming with the old maintenance schedule. 

BTW, completed 1100km with average of 11.5km/l on 80% city 20% highway (econ on & off). Believed the FC could better if managed to push more highway drive, not bad.

now mileage stand at 1350km give and take
the service people dont really get the memo on 10k km service interval, instead i turned informer telling them its no longer 5k
and the type of oil also they dont know use mineral or full synthetic

that guy told me use mineral even 10k km interval. he said the system now can withstand longer even with lowest grade oil. i think he just try his luck.

why paultan never care to explain taxes on cars been reduced since 2006? and they continuously disregard this fact. but now they are coming full blast on a campaign by a political party? i am not interested in politics but i have to ask.

is there something going on with paultan and the political world?

they may argue about wanting to educate the public, but they never say a word about the reduction of car taxes since almost half a decade ago. so why now they are 'interested' again? politic does strange things, does it. but nevermind, it is paultan's prerogative but i would love it if they just state their stand on politics. because it is easier to deal a devil u know, rather than the one u dont know.

the public should know something about profit earnings by the dealers. find it. then u know why despite the car taxes down but the prices still not going down. it is very interesting fact. and u know the reason car prices still high, is apolitical. perhaps the people should bark at the right tree from now on.

but if u still want to bang on it on the government, then your reason of doing so is not about high car prices. its because u want to, regardless of any reason.

Yep, mine too !! Parked my car yesterday and walked to front to take picture. Then I hear the "hissing sound" as you mentioned, not loud but I can hear it. Anyone know if it's normal?

That's y I plan to change during my 1000km service. One more thing I notice, the stock engine oil, I think they filled up slightly more than half only, try check ur dipstick.

Since we r talking about some anomalies here, did anyone of u experience this? When u start to drive ur car after parked for some time, u hear some clinking sound from front right wheel. Juz one click then no more. Everytime it happens.

How do you define as 'high quality' plastic? How does 'low quality' plastic look / feel like?

ABS start to work will emit a clicking sound? Why? ABS is not an active system rite? It only functions during hard braking. 

Well i think plastic is still plastic and the Japanese car makers are now opting for that in a bid to reduce costs which is bad as u surely dont wanna be in a frontal accident with plastic dashboards which can splinter and hurt front occupants badly. Not sure hows the US version of the Civic. Same dashboard?

Euro NCAP frontal crash tests are done at 64kmph which would usually not deliver the force of the impact into the passenger cabin thus making dashboard deflections minimal. I would think the effect of poor dashboards will be felt more in higher speed crashes. But then again i could still be wrong.

So... anyone upgrading their 17" rims? Wanna let go? Hehehe... Please let me know & I'll take them from you. Don't la trade-in, I'll be more than happy to buy from you. PM me ya!

Oh yeah, noticed that at times, low speed or uphill climbs, there'll be some lagging when pressing the pedal. Seems it'll lag a bit & then give a sudden jolt forward. Weird. Not too worrying until uncontrollable, more uncomfortable. Need SA to check during 1k svc.

Got my car last Tuesday & i'm already above 500km! Need to make an appointment soon. Maybe sometime after raya hols next week
