But bro, my city doesn't shift up or down wor if I change from D to S...hmmm
dont really get it. dont quite understand what u meant.
but heres the thing
1) shifting from D to S on the fly
regardless of what gear u are in D mode, if u shift it to S on the fly, it goes down to third. but still no indication on the M display. from where i know it is 3rd? u engage + or - on the paddle, the M display indicates 2nd or 4th.
2)D mode all the way
it becomes normal automatic. however if u play with the paddle u still able to change the gears but momentarily. sometimes it doesnt serve any purpose at all. for example, u are hoping to overtake a car. u are in D mode. u shift down by clicking the - paddle. the car drops a gear, then u accelerate.
sometimes, the gear shift up jussstttttt after a bit acceleration. perhaps the computer detects gear shift signal or whatever. i often had this problem with my city. going up hill i thought better shift down a gear, but then it went back to the gear i was dropping from, just with a little acceleration.
but nevermind, the point is, under D mode, u can play the paddle shifters but not too freely.
3) S mode all the way.
u started your journey with in the S mode. u didnt touch the paddle at all. the car moves, just like normal D mode, but with a bit of urgency. a bit good sound track as well. u accelerate, again without playing the paddle shifters. however, the automatic gearing under S mode ( remember u didnt even once click the paddle shifters ) only until 3 rd under normal speed. to engage 4th gear ( s mode, not touch the paddle shifter at all from beginning engage S mode ) the car need at least 140kmh.
god knows what the speed it needs to engage the final gear under this circumstance.
i hope this enlight whoever concern
