To those who have been driving the new Civic on the highway, care to comment on the NVH as compared to previous generations? Can hear the radio without turning up the volume at > 110km/h?

has any bought the Civic hybrid? how's the performance ? i wanted to test drive but couldn't find one that offers it.. anyone knows where have?

GY NCT5 are crap tyres. Damn noisy and poor road grip. If you claim your car is quiet, then its because of NVH. Not the tyres. Change the tyres if you value safety. U can exchange for almost zero cost or just pay a small amount for Continental CC5. Much better tyres, good wet grip and more quiet than the NCT5.

Anyway, 2012 Civic no good lah... I heard its underpowered compared to the excellent K5

so now they got DVD/ navi to be installed by the centres. so i suppose by getting that, our civics will be more or less like the navi variant.

what this dvd/navi does? got back camera like the navi variant? official product? or it just aftermarket product being installed by the technicians just to avoid any warranty issue afterwards?

Depends on what kinda unit... if OEM de usually its some CHina brand.

for 5k, you can buy a Pioneer top range 7" touch screen HU (2.8k), plus a navi box (800), plus reverse cam (200). Installation probably 200 (more then enough). So about 4k.....

It works good to reduce vibration and tighten the handling. But as far as noise reduction is concerned, unless you go for the ultimate package, you won't notice the difference that much. The roof would be nice to soundproof though as when it rains, it sounds like those zinc roof... Pitty Patta Pitty Patta, damn noisy. There will be some weight added to the car after you foam though, but it's an increase of about 3 to 6kg? depending on what you do

If you really keen to do it, I recommend you drive your car for 1 month first, then go in autofoam to feel the difference.
