The prospect of winning the tie against Benfica will pit us aginst Milan or Barca. Not to disrespect Milan but if we're through to the semis, high chances we will face Barca, don't you guys think?

Of course, all these is "IF " we win Benfica. Benfica topped their group in group stage. So we must beware also.

benfica it is then! early reunions for both luiz and ramires! good time for both of them to have a little 'chat' with that gaitan bloke. laugh.gif
a satisfying draw, and i hope if we can reach the semi-finals roman will consider giving RDM the rebuilding job. (quite frankly there aren't many who would wade into this mess anyway)

but first its leicester city at the weekend. studge for the CF position maybe? or nando? i think studge will be back on the right flank again..
meireles, kalou and mikel will probably get another match, along with bertrand. wouldn't mind those players having a go at all.

we have a very good chance of going into semi finals. not to disrespect any team, but clearly benfica/apoel/marseille is easier than milan/bayern/rm/barca. gogo chelsea ! but i wont get carried away though..anything can happen in quarter finals, we might get knocked out also..nothing is easy..

yeah..exactly what i wished for, the possibility to reach semis and face Barca. not saying we're overconfident, it just that this time we are the underdog and no one would expect us to win against so-called best team in the world thus less pressure. With all due respect to Benfica, we should win this fixture them by hook or by crook.

News breaks: Chelsea beat Man United 2-1 for their first leg FA Youth Cup at Old Trafford. Affane goal setup by Piazon and a wonder strike from Feruz from 23 yeards out. Hopefully those talented youngster get a chance to play at least the reserves first then slowly crawl into the first team. :-)

hmm, so we got benfica. tricky one to call. it is interesting to see luiz and ramires playing against their former club. i think it's a fair draw but bear in mind, benfica is not an easy task for us. they beat man utd in the group stage and during the last round, they beat zenit quite comfortably to be honest. just like RDM used to say, one game at a time...

18 Years Old I think. Hopefully he can break into first team subs sooner rather than later. Another promising one is Islam Feruz.

Hopefully can see Lukaku play tomorrow.

Romeu, Meireles, Bosingwa Cahill, and maybe Lukaku should feature tomoro.

leicester is like man-city project of championship side.

i dont thin weakening the squad is a good idea.

just 1-2 doubtful starters shud not be included in the match squad.

Hmm, I think Benfica is a satisfying one. Wouldn't say it's an easy draw, but a pretty good one I think. A duel in CL never been easy, always tricky. Interesting to see Ramires and Luiz can revisit their former team and have a little reunion with their teammates, and for Ramires, he might visit his cute little eagle which he photographed together before he joined us tongue.gif

Ehehe, our cute Ramires biggrin.gif

Hmm, I would play the almost the same formation that we used against Birmingham in last FA CUP match.
Torres
Kalou Malouda Sturridge
Meireles Mikel
Bertrand Cahill Luiz/Bos Iva
Cech

I hope to see some new changes of the formation maybe at second half.. it may provide some good creativity to the match

Starting 11
Cech
Bos Luiz Cahill Bentrand
Mikel Romeu
Sturidge Meireles Malouda
Torres

After Sub
Cech
Bos Luiz Cahill Bentrand
Mikel Romeu
Sturidge Torres Mata
Lukaku

Lets try torres in the hole, he may be the idea one to replace lampard
