Anyone ever try flash the stock rom?
I mean totally reset the phone back to original..
Is it possible it will brick the phone?

I plan to do that because my phone is getting lagger and lagger
I guess there is a prob when I flashing between rom
So decided to flash stock rom and reflash M3+ApexV5 and done..

very simple, just download the the img file and flash it using gnex toolkit.

done it a few times to wipe my /sdcard partition

It only shows 'R' and when I manually select the mobile networks then I can see UMOBILE too. I have to manually change it to Umobile and then I can use data because I have not set data on roaming.

Now I m confused whether it is Umobile problem or some issue with handset.

I have taken a specific plan for data. So if it is Umobile2g then also no charges?

So it will totally wipe everything including file/backup in SD?
How you restore your apps then?

Use Titanium Backup to backup your apps/data and use it to restore

So if I flash stock rom which will wipe everything including things in SD, how to restore the backup?

umobile staff said they are clearing SGSII stock for SGSIII.
it is umobile not samsung staff so not gonna believe it yet

Always backup the backup from TB on your PC.
Or better buy the paid version of Tb and its media sync application. It will auto backup the stuff on dropbox etc places. So you never have to worry.

easy - just copy the whole folder titaniumbackup to pc. after you have reflash rom, just copy it back to internal sd of phone
use the same method to copy out any important stuffs in the internal sdcard and just copy back to phone

move the files to PC, then move it back to the phone

Sigh, no 32 GB White Nexus for me. Going for 16 GB instead!

Obvious nonsense. There is not even a concrete evidence there is an SGS III model - all are only rumors. I will go and buy lottery - sure strike one if Msia is ever first country to have a new model first before any other countries

Some users can not see the files inside the folder. So just use Gnex toolkit and pull the files from the phone.
Also can create .zip to flash directly after custom rom.

I have planned to create systemapps.zip and userapps.zip. I m not sure can do, but it would be great as some users have advised not to restore system apps as it can mess up custom rom.

Agreed. Heard rumors about SGS II Plus too. Too many rumors and too many model. Better stick with pure Nexus for long term support from Google directly. Lucky me not buying SGS II last time. Haha.

Yes, I like white than black this time. The Black GNex isn't fully black it's only like Grey, which I dislike the colour. If there is no white model in Malaysia, I guess black is the only choice
