wow.. really scary after reading so many problem of the Asus warranty service. Thought of getting a 13" zenbook prime touch but now need to seriously reconsider. Might just get the real thing - MacBook Air 13" instead.

QUOTE(nexus2238 @ Dec 26 2012, 12:08 PM) Yes, if the model has international warranty (most have). If you live in Johor this is most highly recommended thanks for the info. I think normally service centre in Singapore is kinda better, especially much more convenient to JB ppl. Yes, just check the pricelists of Asus laptop offered in the latest PC Show in Singapore, the prices are about 20% more expensive than in Malaysia. A lot of Singaporean bought G55/75 in Malaysia My sister is using a Asus laptop, should be N-series i think, as recommended by me previously. It runs good up to today *touch wood*. On second thought, getting a MacBook Air 13" and dual boot to windows 7 might be a better choice, since the only essential Windows software is my office accounting software which i only need it in emergency/backup just in case. For all other functions - MS Office, Outlook, Photoshop, etc can run in MacOS now already compared to a decade ago. Have been fancy to try Mac OS since ages ago. |

QUOTE(nexus2238 @ Dec 26 2012, 03:51 PM) GST, GST GST only 7% but the difference is 20%. You can either run Boot Camp to run Win7 (I think W8 is not yet "officially" supported by Apple) natively; or as mfitri77 said, VM using VM Fusion or Virtualbox. Will only consider windows 8 if i get the Asus Zenbook Prime Touch 13.3" Full HD. Btw, this model is not yet arrive in Malaysia? Can't seems to find it at the garage. How much roughly the price? |

QUOTE(mfitri77 @ Dec 26 2012, 04:15 PM) Pretty sure that will go over 3.3K at least, considering the price of the current Zenbook at least. lol... there goes the sales of another Asus Zenbook. I will get a MacBook Air then, if i need to change my laptop soon. Honestly however, with my experience with the VivoBook, another of Asus's bright touch idea, you will probably be more annoyed with the unintentional built it "haptic feedback", also known as "the whole screen moved when you press any Metro tiles". |

QUOTE(xproc @ Jan 22 2013, 04:42 PM) yea... mac book air owns zenbook upside down... be it touch or no touch... i do not understand why these days all laptop need touchscreen? make you more efficient? make you more yeng? i dont get the point... i can't figure out too - maybe due to the current Win 8 hype. Btw, Windows 8 UI is really terrible. Since i dun really need a new laptop at the moment, will wait until Macbook Air get the Haswell refresh mid this year. |
