QUOTE(sapapa @ May 14 2012, 09:13 AM)
Hi guys, would like to ask several questions.

1) If drive to SG using Malaysia car(MY plate number), need to pay exactly how much going to SG? What about coming out from SG? Do I have to pay again? What type of card do I need to use to pay? EZ Link?

2) If become PR, I will contribute 20% CPF. Can I withdraw my CPF at age 35? Do I need to give up my PR citizenship in order to do that? Or is there any other way to withdraw ALL my CPF at age 30+?

Thanks in advance.
*
1. you can check all the info from the link that have been provided, a few post above. Or you could go here --> http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/699515

2. You can't withdraw ca$h from your cpf before 55. Even then, you couldn't withdraw all the amount if i remember correctly, PR or no PR. The only way ? Give up your Malaysia citizen, take Aussie or UK or other country citizenship.

so if got free vep, just pay toll? but still need autopass, maybe for ERP right?

5pm till what time er?

hmm.gif
*
till 2am the next weekday.
they actually embedded your car registration details into the autopass card. you need it to enter/exit Sg, no matter u use erp or not.

QUOTE(Lester1987 @ May 14 2012, 12:58 AM)
The Answer is NO, A BIG NO NO... Autopass serves as a IC for your car when you were in Singapore, it records the car's entry time and exit time.
That is why it is a requirement when you enter Singapore. Each Autopass have your car number plate stored in it. Not only that, it also keeps your Msia road tax information.
If you use another car's auto pass, when you pass the immigration, it wil record the number plate of the car in the autopass has been granted entry.
So it also means that your car is a illegal immigrant in Singapore since you did not register the entry of this vehicle.

put it a simple way, can i take your passport and cross the immigration? The answer is No right?
*
what NO. Different auto pass card is use for different car, meaning each car will have it's own auto pass. So, YES, different auto pass is use for different car. Pls get your facts right.

Mackiddo is right, until 2AM. Yeah other charges most likely will be ERP. Try to avoid or wait after the operation hour haha (normally ends at 7). In case if you come across an ERP in operation, don't panic just drive through. A flat rate of $5 daily will be deducted from your Autopass.
*
just take note that sometimes the system a bit slow and ERP charges might not show up on the same day. if one leaving sg on the same day the charges might not show up. just pay it the next round to sg

Guys would like to ask is there any bus/coach from Woodlands area to KL? I've been taking First Coach and its great. But I live in Yew Tee area and heading to Golden Mile / Nicoll Highway MRT to board the bus/coach where it will them head up north again would be a little waste of time. Just seeking an alternative and easier way to go KL
*
the easiest for you would be taking from Boon Lay. Over there have a few bus companies. Grassland is one of them.

between Singapore and Msia, there is no 6 months requirement, u can still enter even it is left 2 weeks.. (was told b ICA when i do my PR coz i tell them i want to renew my passport), She say why renew now? why waste it? ifyou didn't plan to go anywhere, just use it until left 2 weeks before expire, then go and do.

No requirement ? I guess those ppl at ICA must be a real idiots or retards with too much time on their hands, nothing better to do and when they get real bored come out with black & white of an Entry Requirement into Singapore which can simply dismissed into non-existence by you ? yeah ?

Following the same logic, all TP on the road must be sleeping since car are speeding and all LTA staff are restarted to allow car with illegal mod on the road.

You can choose to live in black and white while some of us live in real SIngapore.

Again, my answer is YES.
*
nobody ask about your experience or what a great effort you have done to break
the rules and not get caught. There is no solid basis on your answer. and we are suppose to listen to you because? Speed rules still applied.

Just read the second last paragraph of the link you provided : those with visitor pass shall not engage in a long list of activity.

That include jobs interview by right.

Then how the hack so many of us legally enter Singapore with a passport with more than 6 months validity just to engage in illegal jobs interview.

Still black and white?

K, I am cool. You the god who never drive over 50kmh on small road. And 90 on highway. You are the role model. I am not.

at least I have a basis for answer. Not telling people that you could do this and that based on experience which clearly deviates from the facts and set of guidelines/requirement that have been lay out by the authorities.

Ok understood.

The Legal answer is NO because entering
SG with less than 6 months passport is Illegal.

Enter with >6 months passport but go for interview is also Illegal.

The above have legal basis and black and white.

so, if anyone still want to attend interview in SG with a visitor status, just wear NIKE and don't ask whether it is OK or not.  Fair?
