Landlord should be worry that you might be illegal immigrant, not you.

You should be worry that he is the real owner and not a conn man.

Hi guys, would like to ask a diploma holder fresh grad with $1450 salary as starting pay, as a computer technician, is it good or underpaid?
*
Likely to be near bottom of the salary range. That was the average salary 10+ years ago. Now average should be 1.8k. Over 2k is possible if you have some special skills and good final year project.

Ps: I am referring SG diploma, MY diploma may be lower.

How do NTUC know how much you earn after you sign policy?

If Canadian got cancer their gov cover all their medical expenses, is Singaporean worth as much?

I saw a few cancer cases, if you are poor you better think thice. The usual insurance coverage is less than a typical cancer bill. It is too expensive to be sick in SG. Look at the $39milhome of a famous female doc, you could guess where major part of your insurance money goes.

good for shorterm.. come over and then develop yourself because you cant do these kind of stuff long term right?  laugh.gif

it is self declaration... like if lets say you make more than that automatically you dont qualify.. so if u lie and still pay the premium.. when it comes to claims, they find out... then nothing for you.. just like how you declare previous illnesses and smoking

*
Check the TnC before you sign. I never have to declare my earning or the insurance co will decide on payout based on my latest income status. I also have the NTUC medisheild, the Normal rate for PR went up a few round compare to SG over the last few years. The offer from GOV is not significantly cheaper than what I pay for each family members. About 100+ each per year. Of course the coverage and rider plan may differ.

Your company provide insurance?

Ok, who dont get the CUT!! Must be the big4 here thumbup.gif

so if your earn over $120k then you are not consider a middle income earner by SG gov.

CUT.. your income tax

p/s: ops.. it stated only for SG and PR.

switch job last year from below sandwish to sandwish class last year.  blush.gif
so still can enjoy the cut, next year maybe not  sweat.gif
but still a lot of tax to pay at one go, in kl it was montly deduction so cant feel the pain  cry.gif
*
Well, your future bonus will base on higher monthly salary, that's more than enough to offset the tax defference.

That's fast to get from one side of the sandwish to the other side within a year or two.

Getting a SG car should not be a problem for you.

So next year no more big 4 but SG big 5 laugh.gif

You dont know or you dont want to use Giro leh?
0% interest wor.

Yes, that's your 0% Monthly GIRO tax deduction right? tongue.gif

My co have link with Iras. Income info is Auto update by IT system. First few years still have to log in and just click submit. Then for years IRAS inform me I don't even have to log in for efiling as long as my tax deductible remain unchanged. But they will mail the hard copy of tax Stament to me every year. This original doc must keep properly. You will need it when it come to entry permit renewer.

depends on how alert is the rider, if u are experience enough, shouldn't be an issue. i ride for more than 7 years edi. never been knock by a car before, reason being i horn them when i feel they wanna change lane... need to alert others because bikers need to know that cars have blind spot, don't care whether they wanna change lane or not, horn 1st. if the driver beh song, he only can horn back. he won't knock u down purposely 1. that can safe u from a lot of accident.
last week there is a case at TPE, today another case as well. but i think is those bikers ride too fast between cars and the car suddenly change lane knock them down 1. that's why i say back to my 1st point, horn the cars when u see there is movement on their wheel. horn them as well if they stick too near to the middle lane. coz if a fight really break out, no worries, u sure win coz if the car driver really dare to come and whack u, the bikers behind u definitely go and bash them gao gao... bikers are very unite in another words doesn't car what race u are.... real 1 Malaysia spirit.....

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

1 day, i think more than 50k bikes entering and only that few accident. not to mention the bike that got into accident might be a Singaporean with a Singapore bike. so not a big deal as long as you are careful enough.

Added on March 5, 2012, 10:47 pm

if u so kiasi, just stay in Singapore. u might get rob in JB as well. also Malaysia construction tend to be very fragile, who know 1 day the kastam building collapse and u were buried inside... just stay home and don't go out.... that's the safest.... oh wait.... your house might collapse also...... better hide in a underground bunker and don't go out...
*
I know you ride bike.

Few case over 50k vs rare case over 100k bus passenger. It is simply math, whether you kiasi or not.

Given the number of cases on one hand then stated that it is low risk is plain lying to the unknowing newbies. My ex-supervisor die on 2link leaving behind young wife and children. Tell the widow bike is safe but is just bad luck?

Whatever you say, I wish all have safe journey. But when shit happen, the one who give wrong advice will get it.

Face it, biker takes higher Risk for cheaper transport cost. In life when there is no other option then ride the bike safely. When there are safer options available, I will never advise people with dependant to ride bike in out sg on daily basis. << that's my message.

If you are single and no dependent, you are free to take what ever risk you like.

at current COE? man... your AA cost is high!

did you factor in road tax, insurance, hdb parking and the running cost for each round trip to KL (~RM300 each time)?

if devided the cost by a family of 3~5 then worth it to get a normal car plate.

On Friday, buses are almost 100% packed.  The issue is not alone with the bus driver.  More on if you can get the bus and the time you wanted.
*
The problem is some people dont live near bus stop so they need to take transfer bus (no one fetching) to reach home. If you leave SG after work or midnight then you probaly reach your home town ~midnight or early AM.

I am refering to those local bus, same as the Klang case.

SG car mart... used car or new?

check out the latest "carbon tax" or some other name where the GOV charge lower inport tax for greener car if you plan to buy it new.

added : cars with CEVS rebate
