QUOTE(stevenycs @ Apr 5 2012, 06:02 PM) actually i went to both. The subang branch u r referring to city ruby at sunway mentari right? they gave me 2.54% the federal one already have FL, i just went there and play around the touchscreen HU, not really impressing for me. unless if FL u mean having extra body kit? correct me if im wrong federal haven't come back to me. i have appt for test drive this weekend when the new so-called FL comes in. the alarm part i still don't really gets it. i know its keyless n u unlock using the black button on the car. not sure if u can do it on the remote or not thou. about the subang one, i didn met that SA from subang, but met her in carefour nissan booth. QUOTE(stevenycs @ Apr 5 2012, 06:11 PM) the Sunway actually has the most promo for me. hmm, full tinting include anti theft? is that an air cool or v-kool? or any reliable brand?as mentioned earlier in here they gave me body kit + full tinting (anti theft) + emblem change this is for the new model with the HU unit. old model just discount 1.5K with body kit (i think) + emblem + tinting voucher im thinking this offer from an SA from B.caves " foc bodykit & spoiler, led/lcd tv 19", gps 5", K logo, tinted voucher rm 400, sun visor, sand blasting" both roughly same, but if the full tinting include anti theft is a quality one then i will go for sunway one. Btw, i think can negotiate to get 2.43 for sunway one coz they are dealing with the same banks...just my opinion. |

QUOTE(stevenycs @ Apr 5 2012, 06:21 PM) I think not V-Kool or those branded one. but he did mentioned it's some sort like 5 protection or layer which is anti theft feature. yeah, coz the 19inch TV fits my needs, a tv in my room is always welcome the Bt. Cave one seemed attractive also bro |

QUOTE(CyberKewl @ Apr 16 2012, 01:12 PM) well either the SA is trying to give you false information or he just misled you, some people call that panic button alarm but to me it isn't..but luckily my SA told me all this beforehand and I already checked around before I bought the car, knowing that there's no alarm. So asking around is a good thing also to learn more about a car you're about to buy. i asked him, will the alarm sound when someone tries to break in the car, he said yes..... |

QUOTE(CyberKewl @ Apr 16 2012, 01:18 PM) that's clearly a lie..unless he is saying if you buy the forte from him, he will get the alarm retrofitted from the SC..which could happen too..if not mistaken that costs about RM 400 or so to get it retrofitted, no warranty will void..stock forte built in no alarm hmm, is it recommended to get an alarm for forte? |

i suggest to be light on right foot, dont be so harsh on pressing the pedal. a little slower acceleration is always FC friendly.

QUOTE(ahpingko @ Apr 17 2012, 08:56 AM) he got no anti break tinting?? so easy break already? how u control your right foot? you step on the pedal fully everytime stop and go? you should step on it lightly and in some case might no need to step at all if you in D mode and in bumper-bumper jam. try this and see if you can get better FC.btw, i found that my forte consumed quite alot of fuel..i pumped rm80 ron95..then i can only go until 385..my daily routine is from klang to menara tm..lol..jam like fark at summit thr and then continue jam in federal... and , what is the price to change the muffler of my EX forte??..looked so uncool with the bodykit installed.. |

A good alarm which able to detect any vibration a.k.a lifting the car like this.![]() btw, my fc is around 10l/100km but mine is 2.0. pretty standard i believe. just switch to manual laa if bumper to bumper, or leave earlier |

Guys, my interest on Forte is fading thanks to Elantra. Please give me more reason for not going for Elantra? Elantra is quite enticing - -"

QUOTE(kudi @ Apr 18 2012, 05:39 PM) Specs wise: Erm...im comparing Elantra 1.6Manual vs 1.6SX Forte. two things that Elantra wins is the dual CVVT engine and leather seat. both roughly the same price...You cant get a 2.0 engine power with that price. You dont get 6 air bags. You dont get flappy gear paddles. You dont get auto folding side mirrors. You dont get chromic reverse rear mirror. You dont get good headroom. You dont get horsepower for the money. All you are getting in the Elantra is just design!! Stripped down latest design which will be the talk of the town. However it is already a 2 years old design in Korea dude!! And paying RM112K for 1.8 only?!! Both are Korean cars. Nuff said. and one more thing, i dont mind Manual, and in fact i love Manual more than Auto, and i got no sissy legs, so dont argue about the transmission with me. QUOTE(kudi @ Apr 18 2012, 07:58 PM) Then your mind is pretty much set already. Your justification is based on 2: 1. D-CVVT engine 2. Leather seats Roughly same price doesn't mean same spec in general. Slightly more expansive doesn't mean better in general spec. Sissy legs will later become jelly legs as you can't run away from traffic jam. U will feel the pain once you are in a jam. Anyway, yeah u r right i have set my mind to Elantra based on that two main points, but what missing is the people's opinion, i mean true opinion, those that owned that car and giving feedbacks of its quality, FC, engine performance ... etc |

QUOTE(ryanleehartamas @ Apr 18 2012, 10:07 PM) Hi there...me + my friend 4 of us trying to get a 85k - 95k budget car...last 2 choice is Forte and Elantra...great dilemma here...lol..can any1 give any idea which is the value buy among the 2 model?.. u need to get straight of what u want from a car, from primary to secondary's needs. heard that forte is high in fuel consumption...and i mean...real high... And lucky u, im in the same dilemma too. But im still in the midst of researching between these two cars. As far as overpriced is concern, it is a yes and no. -Yes because all our cars in Malaysia are overpriced, especially Vios and City, and Myvi too. -No because u have to ask urself do you really need those extra little features like paddle shifter, touchscreen HU, GPS, reverse camera ... etc. Difference between Elantra MD and Forte?(im comparing 1.6SX Forte 85k vs Elantra 1.6Auto 91k) Forte Advantage -Features like what i mentioned above -Electronic stability system(which Elantra MD lacks) -Reliable and cheap maintenance(no info for Elantra in this matter) Verdict -Value for money Elantra MD Advantage -Modern and better design(subjective) -dual CVVT, it means much efficient engine and theoretically good FC (Forte only single) -Electronic power steering(Forte is hydraulic, correct me if im wrong) -leather seat(u saved 1.6k++ here if u planned to do leather seat in Forte too) Verdict -Depends if you dont really need those extra features of Forte, this is a very good car for u. by the way, if im getting Forte 1.6SX, it will cost me 85880 + 1600(leather) + 800 alarm, so total for me getting forte would be 88200. is kinda close to Elantra MD cost 1.6Auto already.
