Football has changed alot now. I think it's more demanding than it was before.

Even James Milner and Cesc Fabregas made their debuts at 16.

But to be honest, I remember I read that Morgan and Suso (not sure about Sterling and others) were given a chance to play with the reserves and they didn't do well enough which means they are not ready.

Anyways, does anyone think it's ridiculous if I were to pay more than 150 pounds for the Carling Cup Final tickets? lol

Of course we can! But will we? tongue.gif Hahaha.

I'm actually not as worried as when we play other teams because this season, we've performed decently against the bigger sides. It's just the other teams that worry me ...

Ya juga kan? Argh!! We really need UCL qualification so badly eh! drool.gif

Btw, I like this statement so so much:
"I do know United fans are going to try to make me feel uncomfortable. But I have to tell them – they are going to spur me on if they whistle at me" by Suarez... smile.gif

It's a huge step up in terms if quality to play for the first team. Some years back our most promising player was Daniel Ayala but when thrust into the first team, he looked distinctly average thus whatever you see on YouTube is misleading.

I would pay that much for a ticket. It's the Travelling expenses which I'm worries about. Anyway, I'm saving up to go with my mate at the end of this year. Gotta wait for next season's schedule to be out first.

I actually felt Ayala was a decent back up player at first. Didn't do too much wrong if I'm honest.

One player I'm actually quite disappointed in is Danny Wilson. I want him to do well and he came here with alot of reputation back in Rangers but he just can't get a game here and I remember watching him in the Europa League and one of the Premier League games and he really looked like he just couldn't handle it. I don't even know whether saying "he's only 19/20" will actually help his case because Robbo and Flanno are younger than him! But by the looks of it, he's well behind Coates now and probably even Kelly would get the nod at CB ahead of him!

Well, considering I just need to pay a train ticket to London and hopefully be able to crash at a mate's place there, it sounds like a good price but it will hurt to see more than 150 pounds go out of the bank when the tickets for the final are actually priced at 40, 56, 72 and 90.

Modern day football no longer same as previously.
Manager cannot wait and nurture slowly the young players, either they come good fast, or not only.
No come good fast, manager has no choice to bring in fresh new prospect young leg.

There are severe intensity in modern football, and money in stake.
Lose few games, people are calling for manager head already, so it is too much a gamble to throw in average youngster and hope they turn good by gaining experience.
If the manager see the youngster too average, generally they won't play them. Managers see them week in week out, while fans only see them a couple of mins.

See how people criticise Wenger beginning of season when he signed little experienced and established players and want to play the youngster.

Argh I got it wrong. It was Daniel Ayala, nephew to the legendary Roberto. That's the thing though, our best player from the academy was a decent squad player so it really is a stretch to suggest the likes of Sterling, Suso, Morgan and whoever else will make an instant impact in the first team. I know people have criticized Amoo but I see promise in him. He's got it all athletically speaking. He's tall, quick and has good feet.

Train ticket to London?

Ffs I'm assuming your mate is an adult now. Get him to take a cab man. It's the biggest game in the Premiership calendar.

Added on February 11, 2012, 2:54 pmA good read on Luis Suarez.

Not worries about the past results. This is entirely different sort of settlement.

Arrhhhhhhh.....every Saturday when i flip the bintang newspaper..i see negative fans writing Liverpool's column...and guess what...it sounded negative!..no surprise...just reaffirm my belief that there are more negative ppl supporting Liverpool than positive ones...luckily I found some positive souls in here....the irony is, the mancs writer wrote positive stuff about liverpool than vice versa! Dont believe me?? Flip page 48...2 teams review side by side...hahaha...

Youth or rather young players who can rise to superstardom...I guess many fans have a false sense of hope from what they see frm solely in Under21 performance etc etc, in reality it is not easy to unearth new and exciting talents...if you like to see the owens, fowlers, gerrards, there were others Mellor, Kennedy's, Whitbread...not to mention Ayala...Nemeth....who fail to make it...

Just look at the Ajax academy - how many world class talent have they produced these 5 years? none stand out or lasts.....how many exciting talents have mancs produced then??? not easy i think...Steerling....if he is of outstanding quality, I am sure KK will intro sooner than later...but reality is all these clamouring for new and young exciting talents is mere false dawn.

Sticking back to REds 1st 11 for tonite...i wish KK will persist with Carrol + Suarez, as i think they need play time together...

I'd ignore the fans column in the papers if I were you. Stick to threads where we can at least have intelligent discussions. Far as I'm concerned, the SMS column is for ranting and name calling. Very little substance at all. I've always maintained that you only talk about others when youve run out of stuff to talk about yourselves. Reality bites. Lucky we've a lot to read up on and talk about.

As for the analyst columns, they're only featured because of who they are, not because they're top notch pundits. They're opinions are as insightful as some on this forum.
