Liverpool have had their ticket allocation for the forthcoming trip to Old Trafford to face Manchester United slashed by almost a third The match on February 11 is likely to see Luis Suarez, banned for eight matches after being found guilty of racially abusing United defender Patrice Evra, make his first appearance away from Anfield since his suspension.
Liverpool's Uruguay striker is certain to receive a hostile reception but there will be 1,000 fewer Reds fans - only 2,100 - inside Old Trafford to see it.
'The safety of all fans is paramount and a detailed risk assessment of the match carried out by Manchester United and agreed by their Safety Advisory Group which includes Greater Manchester Police and Trafford Council has resulted in Liverpool receiving a reduced allocation for this specific game,' said a statement on liverpoolfc.tv. 'This was considered necessary to allow for additional stewarding and segregation plans.'
EXCLUSIVE: Terry loses England armband! FA strip defender of captaincy
John Terry has been stripped of the England captaincy for the second time in his career. Terry was called at just before 10am this morning by Football Association chairman David Bernstein to announce the decision of the FA board. And it places the FA on a collision course with manager Fabio Capello, who had told the FA he still wanted Terry to be his captain at the European Championships in the summer.

You really pity someone who can masquerade as a Reds fan and pledge allegiance to the scum...it's like tranvestite, minus the balls or a yin yang man/woman with both genitals...One can understand if you support 2 clubs in the EPL, I admit to that with both hands up...while i support liverpool, I do have a soft spot for Crystal Palace...remembering Ian Wright and Mark Bright in action...and my fav keeper - Nigel Martyn...but both Reds at the same time!!?? Gimme a break...really tell you how low can worms go down to. Worms aside
The match against Spurs will be the match to bring them down to earth, as i think they over, over achieve this season,,,Camon Reds, establish your credential this!! Part of this vendetta is because i dont rate Harry Redknapp, as much as i adores Jamie, but this fella is nothing but buy buy buy.....he buy his way out in all the clubs he manage...how we play Kuyt, as he is vital to keep Bale in-check together with Johno/Kelly either one....would prefer to former, for pace reason.
Carroll need to play, can see he is getting into stride now....given a longer run, we'll really see what he can do...hopefully downing and enrique to bombard the left wing...anticipate an open, free flowing footbal

It's fine to have a soft spot for other teams. About 5 years back, there was a poll comducted in England to identify who fans supported as a second club and Liverpool emerged second behind West Ham. Then again this wasn't an official poll. Point is many fans have second clubs who they follow or have a soft spot for. The clubs I've followed since I started supporting Liverpool are West Ham, Newcastle and Spurs.
