I think 1080p video recording is the hardware limitation. Is there any ROM that allows it on SGS?

To sync FB, install FB and login. You should be prompted for the sync. Then you might want to "join" your contacts. It doesn't join automatically. But this time you are not limited to just 5 contacts join.

its only inside Phone dialer apps.. inside Contact app don't have, so ok what and its a good feature what..

i dun think we can turn it off..
otherwise, go to settings > apps > all > contact storage > clear data.. but this will clear all logs la..
but pls backup ur contacts list 1st.. afraid u'll loss em pula..

Top up and get a used S2.  S1 is basically reaching the end of its product lifecycle.  Samsung has been updating it for 2 years, don't expect them to do for another 1 or 2 years.  Every phone out there will get outdated sooner or later, manufacturers won't waste time updating them

The only disadvantages of not being up to date with the latest Android OS is can't enjoy new features, new UIs and improvements made I suppose

In short, yes, S1 won't be getting official ICS updates from Samsung
Hold down the Volume Down button and Power button until a screenshot has been taken
- Modify build prop (i.e with Root Explorer, it is in System dir and with R/O) and replace "GT-I9000" to "SGH-I9000"
- Fix permissions [DALVIK & CWM] (in Advanced option)
- CAUTION: With this change, Viber works, but it's possible that others app doesn't (somes games surely)

flash Semaphore, it's definitely draining like hell on its stock kernel (Devil).  Make sure you flash according to the proper procedure on its thread.  I flashed Semaphore yesterday n it's back to normal

It's for users to download CWM packages. For example, you can download modems, gapps, kernels, updates and mods etc

1. Look for the file you downloaded in "OTAS" folder in sdcard.
2. What kernel do you use?  USB transfer speed is slow for me on Semaphore(around <2mb), now using stock kernel it's quite normal.  Maybe you can try transferring by mounting USB storage under "Mounts and Storage" in CWM.  It's faster that way too
