Users of Turkbey + Thunderbolt - I have one question (I am on Turkbey 31):

Before flashing thunderbolt - i removed (with backup in another folder) all the scripts in init.d folder (read it is advisable to do so in the last version of the thread). Question is do I have to put back some of these scripts - as I notice that some of these may not interfere with thunderbolt (to my very limited knowledge).

Any guidance will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
*
I remove them all on 29.5 and 30.3. I also just flash 31 and had also remove it all.

yes, the kernel is support init.d as Im flashed thunderbolt as well. I take one script file from thunderbolt, edit according what you post above and save. put it in the path that you mentioned and set permission....
*
What program u use to edit? Careful with unnecessary spaces in the script.

Thanks for the quick reply. I am new to linux and android (used to work in unix long long time ago).

The turkbey scripts like 01sysctl or 07fix.sh does not appear to affect thunderbolt. While scripts like 05module, tr10ramscript or turkbeytweak may have an effect. Do you have knowledge of what these scripts will do or have you experimented with these? Trying to learn.

And one more noob question - in turkbey - we have the facility to record calls - where are these recordings stored? Thanks.
*
Didn't really look into it as the other scripts are quite minor. Recording is in /sdcard/sounds.

Btw, he's using the 9100G, so not sure if all advise given in terms of kernels etc are relevant to his phone.
*
He maybe on G but he is using stock rom and kernel. So his problem is app related very straight forward.

@nixdorf Install betterbattstats and find the wakelock. Bet its either FB or maps.

anttoo, do we need to reflash the tB tweak after we flash a new kernel?
*
Depends on kernel. Siyah no need. Just check if the script is still in /system /etc /init.d. If still there no need reflash.

From your previous screen shot its obvious maps/latitude and facebook app/chat is the cause of your batt drain. Please exit these app properly.

ok, for the second step
2. Mount /data, /system and /sdcard in CWM (IMPORTANT!) (When mounted, it will show "unmount /system" for example. This means that an unmounted partition will show a "mount /system" for the /system partition)

I have to go to CWM recovery right?
*
Yes it's an option in cwm recovery.

Ok, now.. don't quite understand step 6

6. Open up Script Manager and launch /sdcard/bolt_scripts/remount[device] (e.g. remounti9000) as Root (The skull icon) and as Boot (The wheel icon).

*
Download script manager from market. Use that app to manually runthe scripts installed with thunderbolt.

@pikachu what does graphics pro and bin files do?

@shizuru go to the location, in remounts, select the remounti9100 and click on the skull and wheel icon, then save.
*
Most custom rom build.prop already got the graphics tweak. Bin files better let pikachu answer. tongue.gif

the opptimizer is working...just I want to put a script so that I no need to run the command in terminal each time reboot
*
Please make sure there is no additional "space" at end of each command. Its a common mistake.

I flashed the zip from CWM and no issue with the installation. However, when I use terminal to check and return with issue. Same thing if I placed the script manually inside init.d.
*
Why is there a $su command. I think it's not needed for init script.

http://rootzwiki.com/topic/14698-initd-scr...odules-1-10-12/ -> this is not opptimizer, but a script to load opptimizer each time reboot
*
I have also use script to insmod before and didn't need the su command.

Make sure the module is available for insmod. Have the module already been loaded? And as pikachu said use notepad+ +. Not any normal notepad

same, no such file in terminal and no user.log in /data

one more thing is, even I use the script from http://rootzwiki.com/topic/14698-initd-scr...odules-1-10-12/, either flash through cwm or place manually, it also not working...

so dont think is script problem (either created by myself or from the link above)
*
run this command
CODE
lsmod
in terminal to see if the module have been loaded or not.
