I am running on 2.3.3 on a Stock Vodafone Rom , as they said my phone got updates to FOTA to 2.3.5 but now i have done the update to 2.3.5 and i found out that is very very laggy and now i want to revert back to 2.3.3 but the thing is once i revert back i stuck on the galaxy S II logo keep repeating and repeat

Yeap i know, but i was hoping to get something similar to wave screen on time

Actually I was on CheckRom but then I use set cpu to overclock to 1.6Ghz..
Unfortunately, the rom cannot take it and always shut down, the only way now is to lower the set cpu to 1.2Ghz..
But I can't when it reboots and when I want to lower the setcpu to 1.2Ghz, it can't and then it shut down and reboot and shut down and reboot and continue to do that for about 20 times..
Finally, I had no choice to go do recovery mode, but to my dismay, the clockworkmod recovery was for the checkrom, and i checked the restore rom, and it's not there my backup..

Then I wiped off all the cache, factory reset. and reboot on to checkrom again..
I used the clockworkmod app and restore the backup...
And that is how it went into bootloop..

 

guys. which link i should follow to root my phone?. i wanna root with custom recovery so i can flash custom rom. tq..

Im using postpaid btw..already asked in digi section n broadband,seems like the thread move like turtle..but i can see there's many user choose celcom,never have experience with celcom before.

when flashing via odin, is it important to have usb debugging mode ticked?
i hate checkrom!!

grrr....first the hardware problem where the vol button is not working in download mode / recovery mode....( its a hardware problem but im going to blame it )
second now is installing the theme and got bootloop...now i have to restore and wipe all my data.... crap......

i am donwloading another rom now....grrr

Nope, seriously guys... OK blaming the rom for hardware failure is simply blame... Haha

But installing the theme for checkrom from the kitchen itself can get bootloop?
I waited for 15mins and it just won't boot up....

Used to be on miui and cm7 and change theme was a breeze.
I was puzzle on why need cwm to flash theme.
Dun know in s2 that theme can cos bootloop...

Yes I did flashed a new theme on top of another theme.
It's a no? Or I have to flash back to stock theme b4 flashing a new one like hyperdroid?

Btw, turbkey rom v32 claim it got thunderbolt script but I don't see the credit given to pikachu?

eh yea worh, happened to me today, saw HUGE wakelocks, addup all can about 2 hours out of 3.5 hours, but when i check bbs oni got 7 mins    but under kernel wakelocks i clearly stated the time of wakelocks, just in partial cant see dunno wtf did that

no problem flashing it but for some reason can use my app protector on 4 season and its important to me. going to nanroid restore but CWM can't read my backup. I think they use older version. so just download HD new version and flash.

Mine is non G model. I use the CWM method. My kernel is DXKL3. How come the odin couldnt detect the insecure kernel? Should i be panicking now? lol.

Hey ant, so I downloaded cf root and I wanna flash it on my phone itself without need for a PC, can I just extract the tar file, extract the zimage file and flash it in cwm app as flash kernel?
