Use odin to flash a wipe rom for your device from samfirmware. Basically you need to do a full wipe. Either flash a wipe rom or get rooted with cwm to wipe current rom.

Go watch a movie on your phone for 2 hrs at low brightness. Sure get high screen on time and low battery drain. tongue.gif

Actually I was on CheckRom but then I use set cpu to overclock to 1.6Ghz..
Unfortunately, the rom cannot take it and always shut down, the only way now is to lower the set cpu to 1.2Ghz..
But I can't when it reboots and when I want to lower the setcpu to 1.2Ghz, it can't and then it shut down and reboot and shut down and reboot and continue to do that for about 20 times..
Finally, I had no choice to go do recovery mode, but to my dismay, the clockworkmod recovery was for the checkrom, and i checked the restore rom, and it's not there my backup..

Then I wiped off all the cache, factory reset. and reboot on to checkrom again..
I used the clockworkmod app and restore the backup...
And that is how it went into bootloop..

Try not to use CWM app to restore backup. Boot into recovery, wipe data, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache and restore your backup again from recovery.

my flash count more than 30 after 1 month
hehehe

Well for gingerbread standard, litening is still ancient. rolleyes.gif Most of us are still on gingerbread.

Why don't you use CWM to flash roms? After almost 6 month of flashing numerous roms, my flash count is still 4. CWM do not increase count.

Guess

Nope, seriously guys... OK blaming the rom for hardware failure is simply blame... Haha

But installing the theme for checkrom from the kitchen itself can get bootloop?
I waited for 15mins and it just won't boot up....
*
If you use custom rom, flashing theme is always risky no matter what rom your on. Always make cwm backup before flashing theme. This is a general issue not just checkrom.

Seriously.... Hmm got it. Thanks for the pointer.
Used to be on miui and cm7 and change theme was a breeze.
I was puzzle on why need cwm to flash theme.
Dun know in s2 that theme can cos bootloop...
Learn my lesson and I appreciate your reply.
*
MIUI/CM7 theme changing dun require flashing. Its really easy like tukar baju. Similar to our launcher, install theme apk and select it. Done.

But samsung rom there is no shortcut way to do it. When you flash, you change system apk and frameworks with the themed ones. So if the theme apk/framework got some incompatibility with your rom then you will get bootloop.

It's a no? Or I have to flash back to stock theme b4 flashing a new one like hyperdroid?
*
Always flash back stock theme before flashing new themes. Reduce the chance of any conflicts.

Btw, turbkey rom v32 claim it got thunderbolt script but I don't see the credit given to pikachu?
*
Yeah saw that. And also he didn't give credit to gokhan for using siyah kernel. But i think most important is that he didn't take pikachu script and call it "turkbey script" and put his name on it. At least its still call thunderbolt and he announce it in his changelog, not curi-curi use.

Anyway its better for pikachu to decide. unsure.gif

Its still wrong for the dev to not credit pikachu and gokhan though

Yes its true, but let the developers themselves decide. Gokhan obviously know his kernel is use in this rom cos he sometimes use this rom also.

Your problem is "deleted_wake_locks" and "svnet"

This issue have been arising in siyah kernel and is known. Dunno about other kernels. svnet is related to wifi. deleted_wake_locks have no idea related to what.

Problem is gokhan now no time to look into this. If it happen freq, try using older siyah kernel or other kernel.

Mine is not so bad. I get svnet but only few mins, mayb cos i seldom use wifi. Mostly on data. Haven't seen the "deleted wake lock" yet on my device but some user have reported it as well.

Just flash back the kernel you were using when you did the backup and you should be able to restore. Wah now u become addict rom flasher. tongue.gif

*
No need panic as nothing have been done to your phone. Why don't you use CF kernel?

Hey ant, so I downloaded cf root and I wanna flash it on my phone itself without need for a PC, can I just extract the tar file, extract the zimage file and flash it in cwm app as flash kernel?
*
Like ashwin said, yes you can as long as your rooted.
