2 possibilities:
1) you have not copy into your phone. if u have copy it, give me path of the file. you can check this in "My Files" 2) you did you use "install from sd card" or "install from external sd card" |

QUOTE(megeligeli @ Feb 17 2012, 11:57 PM) 1) Just to be sure, can u do a screen capture of "My files" that showing the zip file? hopefully in Horizontal so I can see the full name.2) In CWM, when looking for the zip file, what other files you see? |

QUOTE(CAC@MBO @ Feb 18 2012, 12:29 AM) haha. ya. you need helps from other people, like XDA developers, together to helps, only when free la. ;D all those flash memory card has life span measured by number of read / write. if there is heavy read / write, life span shorten. but most industry standard allow many years of torturing... But yours, already did a lot of favourite, as remove those bloatware and swap the memory. (btw, swap memory will dmg the memory card bo? In my technical knowledge I think it won't, but my friends keep say will. LOL ). oh? ICS? haha. gingerbread faster? then gingerbread lo. haha for me, life too short to worry about that. i flash and use my 32gb like mad. so far so good. |

QUOTE(CAC@MBO @ Feb 18 2012, 12:39 AM) haha. IcIc. Now I'm busying for last sem study. too bad i haven't got much time to play game like i used to. now, i mostly just play plants vs zombiearound end of march or april, I'll try your flash ur rom with help of my expert friends in hp. Cause I'm not good in rooting . haha. reason to flash is really hate lack of ram, plus the limited storage for games. I'm so wanted to play Gameloft games such as shadow guardian, backstab and perharps Max Payne 3 which will on IOS and android soon. >< too bad those games I mention I fail to patch them, so sad. btw, you try shadow guardian or backstab in your phone? I like to play action game 1. XD |

QUOTE(shiki_arc @ Feb 18 2012, 12:40 AM) Hi, do any of you guys know how we can change the screen fade? For stock it just fades rite? But for Cows rom it blinks off. I wanna do that cuz now not using cows rom liao. haha. Any method? LOL. ya, like the CRT animation? u can just flash the theme. if u r not in stock rom, you can just replace the /system/framework/framework-res.apk to enable that effect. can copy that from my ROM, or any other theme that support that... |

QUOTE(CAC@MBO @ Feb 18 2012, 12:51 AM) really? busy working? i m experimenting way to improve the IO database speed. found a way, but the improvement does not justify the risk. i recompile libsqlite.so to do less fsync()... result in faster IO database, but if phone crash during database writing (which is not often), you may have corrupted database. more info here:or busy "supporting" your custom rom? LoLZ ~ you must have a try on shadowguardian and backstab. It's epic. 500mb data for shadow guardian and 0.99GB for backstab, fun and syok. XD from what I see from youtube. T_T phone can't play, too bad. perharps just wait until I graduate, work and earn money. get a S2 or S3 perharps. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1000899 anyway, just sharing about game, most likely wont buy it for now.. hehe... since no time to play anymore... will wait till u play and give me review |

QUOTE(mrlonely78 @ Feb 18 2012, 12:55 AM) antutu score with ondemandx and 1.6ghz and superscript as per kezra method, my score is 3760 faster than just without kezra superscript. nice observation! i made some changes to the low memory killer in Cow In Black because it now has 100mb of compress ram drive. So, i dont want low memory killer to be that aggressive anymore. Meaning, it will not kill app that often. Less kill = less loading = save some battery.i will stick to this for now, and monitor the stability. why i want to do this is that, when in your rom, when open game, music player, market, cpu master, skype, whatsapp, yahoo messenger, the memory used can go to 320mb, which i can feel the slowness. so need to clear some app. i want to test if this kezra superscript method will resolve that for me or not, cause when im on that last time, memory not shoot like that. when you memory about full, compress memory / swap memory will be very active. having 100mb compressed zram, should give you like 200mb of memory due to compression, but, to compress, need CPU cycle. i tested it abit, effect should not be noticeable... but if u discover 'slowness', let me know.. i might consider adjusting the low memory killer value in the future Added on February 18, 2012, 1:13 am QUOTE(mrlonely78 @ Feb 18 2012, 01:03 AM) interesting, but is there any way to recover the corrupted database? if that's possible, im on not only that u will lost data, in some case, app wont start. in that case, need to recreate an empty database!and what kind of data that's inserted in this database? a lot of things in android phone uses sqlite database; your settings (wifi, keyboard, language setting, etc), your sms/mms. each has their own database. you can do a quick search in your phone for all files ends with .db find /data -name "*.db" there are probably up to 100 of them! you can actually open them using sqlite3.exe This post has been edited by cowithgun: Feb 18 2012, 01:13 AM |

QUOTE(changsheng12 @ Feb 19 2012, 09:30 AM) uhm.. how to change swype as my default keyboard , after flashed to cow's rom , i need change it to swype everytime , this is pretty annoying >< Guys, please dont simply "Clear Memory" in task manager! Android take care of that for you in low memory killer. If you must use "Clear Memory", read this on how to make Swype auto restarted instead of Samsung Keypad: https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...entry48981218 |

QUOTE(AlexLai @ Feb 19 2012, 06:04 PM) Now this was an interesting case I had yesterday when I flashed the Black ROM to my W. Successfully flashed it and total blackness except the status bar greeted me lol. It's as if Zeam was missing. A few others also has similar problem because they wipe data in CWM (somehow, i test, I can't reproduce it). You dont really need to wipe anything (except if you want dalvik cache) if you are upgrading from any of my previous ROM.Some user reports that reinstall zeam launcher will solve it. I suppose you still can use "adb" to push and copy zeam or any launcher into /data/app/ PS: what happen if you press "menu" button in the Black screen? Probably can still access Zeam settings in Preferences, and try Reset to default? This post has been edited by cowithgun: Feb 19 2012, 06:37 PM |
