no, no game will be installed in 1.7gb anymore. all new game you install will be either in phone memory or external sd card.

2 possibilities:

1) you have not copy into your phone. if u have copy it, give me path of the file. you can check this in "My Files"
2) you did you use "install from sd card" or "install from external sd card"

1) Just to be sure, can u do a screen capture of "My files" that showing the zip file? hopefully in Horizontal so I can see the full name.

2) In CWM, when looking for the zip file, what other files you see?

BINGO, that is not a zip file. it is a 7zip file... you need to extract that into a zip file before putting into your phone.

i enjoy making it coz it make my phone faster, more memory, the way i want it. but dont really enjoy supporting it LOL...

no need. u can use V6 Supercharger on top of my ROM. it will allow u to change the default setting.

let me know if u see improvement

all those flash memory card has life span measured by number of read / write. if there is heavy read / write, life span shorten. but most industry standard allow many years of torturing...

for me, life too short to worry about that. i flash and use my 32gb like mad. so far so good.

LOL. ya, like the CRT animation? u can just flash the theme. if u r not in stock rom, you can just replace the /system/framework/framework-res.apk to enable that effect. can copy that from my ROM, or any other theme that support that...

i m experimenting way to improve the IO database speed. found a way, but the improvement does not justify the risk. i recompile libsqlite.so to do less fsync()... result in faster IO database, but if phone crash during database writing (which is not often), you may have corrupted database. more info here:

nice observation! i made some changes to the low memory killer in Cow In Black because it now has 100mb of compress ram drive. So, i dont want low memory killer to be that aggressive anymore. Meaning, it will not kill app that often. Less kill = less loading = save some battery.

when you memory about full, compress memory / swap memory will be very active. having 100mb compressed zram, should give you like 200mb of memory due to compression, but, to compress, need CPU cycle. i tested it abit, effect should not be noticeable...

but if u discover 'slowness', let me know.. i might consider adjusting the low memory killer value in the future

Added on February 18, 2012, 1:13 amnot only that u will lost data, in some case, app wont start. in that case, need to recreate an empty database!

a lot of things in android phone uses sqlite database; your settings (wifi, keyboard, language setting, etc), your sms/mms. each has their own database. you can do a quick search in your phone for all files ends with .db

find /data -name "*.db"

there are probably up to 100 of them! you can actually open them using sqlite3.exe

Guys, please dont simply "Clear Memory" in task manager! Android take care of that for you in low memory killer.

ya, replaced because stock ROM uses TouchWiz. think u can find it in the zip in my first post in XDA.

i m using the CiB calender, can sync with google, in fact, this is like the AOSP calender from google.

yes, just copy the TouchWizCalendar.apk back into your /system/apk. Delete the com.android.calendar-1.apk.

can use TouchWizCalendar.apk in my Slim Shady rom.

A few others also has similar problem because they wipe data in CWM (somehow, i test, I can't reproduce it). You dont really need to wipe anything (except if you want dalvik cache) if you are upgrading from any of my previous ROM.

Some user reports that reinstall zeam launcher will solve it. I suppose you still can use "adb" to push and copy zeam or any launcher into /data/app/

PS: what happen if you press "menu" button in the Black screen? Probably can still access Zeam settings in Preferences, and try Reset to default?
