Get one which have an aperture control as well. And yes, autofocus would not work on adapters.

can you elaborate more on aperture control?
does it mean I can't change my lens aperture size?
*
It means that you can control your A-mount lenses' aperture from the adapter. Some cheaper adapters doesn't have that function. Which means you'll only be shooting with your lens wide open.

I have both the wide angle adapter and the fisheye adapter. Both gives the same image quality apart from the angle of view. The wide angle adapter effectively makes your 16mm to become about 12mm.. very wide..

Here are some pics for reference, but they're all taken with the fisheye adapter instead of the ultra wide.

thanks.. yup, this is my 1st time doing... still digging sites for info on frame rates on what they affect, and how 50p, 25p and 24p relate to one another. yea, i noticed about the 'hanging' pic.. i do those panning and zooming on my stills slideshows. 1st time incorporating vids. this is done with Sony Vegas 10.0.

Could the stuttering be caused by NEX3's format? What's the frame rate on a NEX 3? What is the appropriate workflow for slowing down a 50p or 50i clip?

I thought there's a Sunny Day function for the screen? It boosts up the color and brightness into overdrive, it's so easy to view with that. I always use it when shooting outdoors

Yup, faster than usual of course. But I also believe most serious NEX users would own 2 batteries.

Hmmm i'm just worried the EVF will not be very comfortable to use given the size of the camera, hopefully both will be in before i travel so can try first.

Thanks alot!  notworthy.gif

You can actually try it out now with the NEX-7, it's the same placement.

Or if you can get your hands on any rangefinder cameras, then that will be the same as well.

yeah, but he was asking whether comfortable or not with respect to the size... not E/OVF or focusing style.

honestly speaking, i want to get the 24F18 so much... but when i think of the price can get me a Fuji X100 that come with a different experience and still got change for the price, i stop already ><

dont know why... maybe i still dunno how to appreciate the art of Carl Zeiss

When you have seen the sharpness and color of what a Zeiss can offer in comparison to others, you'll understand.

I know because I've been in those shoes before.. I used to ask "What for spend so much on a CZ when other lenses will give you the same image?" I still held my believes through many TTs and outings with friends with CZ - as I believe it's the peer pressure which could be causing me like the lens.

It's not until I itchy butt walked into a Sony store in Times Square to just have a look around and once again, itchy butt asked the sales person to let me test a 24-70Z (perfect definition of SELF POISONING).. and bam! I felt it. I had with me my old Sigma 24-70. There's no coming close. Long story short, I have the 24-70Z now.
