Hmm.. if anyone were to run such a class, still have to cover what the sony basic workshops cover (aperture, shuttter, rule of thirds, iso, how to hold,  available scene modes on the camera... ), but I would say:

It's also about planning, location,Interaction and practice? (darn.. a new acronym PLIP) 

Planning: For example, hanging around shopping malls, I try to get the events schedule before hand. Like the Sunway CNY dragon dance,  I was there 15 minutes before it started because I checked the schedule, and could do a few test shots to set it up. This may also help you decide which glass to bring, if the tripod comes along or not, which route to take, and so on.

Location: Test shots should reveal whether where you are standing is ideal or not, otherwise move around to pick another spot. This obviously affects composition. It's harder when the crowd is already there and u can't break through them to be on the front row. It is more difficult when guys with 1 feet tall flashes are in front of you ! Be prepared to move around.

Interaction: Hmm, you're not just a shadow figure behind a glass, you're an Intelligent being. So I guess where possible when photographing people, interact with them. On whether you are intelligent or not, Rene Descartes said "I think, therefore I am".

Practice: Shoot more meaningfully, Shoot more often  . In a book by Matthew Syed titled "Bounce", he saw a recurring pattern where  world sports champions spent about 10 years of meaningful practice + growth mindset to have mastery of their art.  Instinct then manifests out of dilligent practice.

Just my 2cents non-Pro thoughts. 
Maybe a NEX C3 replacement is coming in 1 or 2 months? The NEX-F3!!     . Perhaps hold your horses till April and see if the new launch causes a discount for the older model.

Nope, no such issue anymore.

Anyway I understand that it's an easy fix which only requires updating the firmware. However, need to sent to service centre for this.

The 135mm f/2.8 isn't a zoom lens, it's a prime lens, meaning the angle of view is not going to change. And for the record as well, it's a Manual Focus lens (not that it's not hard to use when Manual Peaking Mode is used), but it's just so you know.

if you use bigger aperture, with shallower depth of field, better use MF assist enlarge view 7x or 14x!
subject in motion a bit difficult to MF, make sure you have enough shutter speed and DOF.

The power of manual focus lens that the kit lens can't delivered  -

my opinion is, if you require low light or long zoom (let's say 70mm to 300++mm) then LA-EA2 would serve a good purpose as Steady Shot (IS) would be available. Or maybe you require the EXIF data.

Those manual lenses like 16mm to maybe 50mm (i'm just roughly estimating here) may not require steady shot that much. Especially if it is a fast 1.8 lens which enables higher shutter speeds to compensate for camera shake.

A mount adapter will enable you to have more selection later on. 
but from my view if you do not have any plan to purchase more lens within these few years then buying E-mount lens is a good choice and save $$$.  EA2 alone will cost more than RM1k right?

Actually i really looking for a solution, whether to go for 5NK now or wait for the 5ND which dunno will come on what time... i'm going for a trip on coming weekend and plan to take the new babe go along if possible... the 16mm worth for my waiting  =(

Depends which Minolta mount you are going for. There's the MC/MD and there's the AF, which is the same as the Sony A-Mount. Both need adapters, just be wary of the mounts! Nearly bought the wrong one last time hahah!

Usually the lens name already gives it out. Minolta MC/MD lenses usually are called Rokkors e.g. Minolta MD Rokkor-X 45mm f/2, Minolta MD Tele-Rokkor 135mm f/2.8, Minolta MC Rokkor 58mm f/1.4, etc. So you need to use a MD-NEX adapter.

If you see Minolta AF on the lens, then its the A-Mount. This one can use LA-EA1, LA-EA2 or third party adapter. I have one for sale if you're interested.
