Hi sifus and gurus,

I need some help. I've been using a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5 for the past 3 years, and I've been extremely happy with the performance of this camera. However, the camera is now showing signs of wear and tear and it doesn't focus properly when taking videos and it sometimes can't even turn on. Because of that, I'm looking to get another camera.

Is it possible for me to get something similar to the TZ5 around the RM500 - RM1000 range? If no, what is the best camera you would recommend for that budget?

EDIT: I haven't really started looking, but saw a samsung PL120 yesterday, which looked ok. However, reviews don't seem to rate it too highly, and a few friends have discouraged me from buying samsung cameras.

I saw that too. unfortunately, it's also out of my price range (can't afford anything more than RM1k)..... =(

hhhmmm.... the TZ20 is selling for only RM999 in superbuy.com. Has anyone bought from that website before?
