Looking for a WIDE lens cam for travel. so far, i have interest in the LX7 and J1, but unsure if the 10mm on J1 is really that wide, as i dont understand the term and calculation of '35mm equivalent', which translate to how many mm for the 10mm on J1. since i have only used the 14-42mm on a GF3, lets make it as a benchmark, any compacts that could match or come close or beat it at its widest?

Budget: <RM1.5K possible? minus all the freebies/accs.
