QUOTE(limhongwoon @ Jan 24 2012, 02:37 PM) Nikon Warranty is International or Malaysian Only ? usually body comes with Malaysia Warranty, while lens and other acc comes with international warranty. Thus, the international warranty is valid in Malaysia. If I bought from Oversea then cannot repair at Nikon Malaysia ? *Correct me if im wrong. |

QUOTE(hapeace @ Jan 24 2012, 08:27 PM) hi. i think im going to buy nikkor 2470 2.8 in few days... but just curious.. when the new model come out? maybe vrII? recent 2470 doesn't even have VR. Nevertheless, it works just fine if u know how to match the focal length with your shutter speedjust like 70200.. after vr.. come vrII then vrIII then vrIV.. bla bla bla QUOTE(sukhoi37 @ Jan 24 2012, 09:10 PM) be careful with the old batch of 2470, they have serious zoom ring issue. Repair needs at least rm2k. yup do some homework before purchased the lens. just google or check in youtube.I heard they fix this issue on newer batch. don't get 2nd hand unit if i were you. |

QUOTE(Isepunye @ Jan 25 2012, 10:15 AM) seem like fifty nifty way stronger! dropped mine from table also because kids... still strong till now my frens also dropped 18105 from a eye level high tripod due to kids also. just HB45 crack else still work like charm u cant compare +- 200g lens with +-1kg lens. The drop impact for sure different. Same goes to thin guy vs fat guy, throw them both to the sea, and see the impact. how the surrounding waves like. |

It doesnt have hologram sign and the package seems kinda funny. Guess what, the seller quote RM350 for 72mm filter. *the intention of this message is to alert all forumer out there.. |

QUOTE(0168257061 @ Jan 26 2012, 11:06 AM) I guess regular B+W user should know the weight and the glass transmission, if it was ciplak one can directly tell yup, even when u see the box itself, u can already doubt the genuinity of the filter, without open the box and feel the weight as well as the glass.. |

QUOTE(celciuz @ Jan 26 2012, 11:48 AM) You guys made it so easy to distinguish between the real and fake ones... how's the fake's performance? Is it obvious? Like those single coat filters? not sure on the performance though. Coz dont even bother to purchased one. the price is more or less the same as genuine one.QUOTE(ojtee @ Jan 26 2012, 12:36 PM) I guess bringing along one of the sifus would really be of great help to distinguish between the real and fake ones ! forgot to snap few pic. next tym ill try my best to snap few pic of the filter..Gong Xi Fatt Chai to all LYN Nikonions....... |

QUOTE(ojtee @ Jan 26 2012, 04:06 PM) I read somewhere that some B+W filters were made from alloy for the asian market, not sure if it's true or not coz the brass ones were relatively more expensive and that's the reason B+W came up with the alloy rings instead of the brass ones. IIRC it was dpreview.com I think it refers to the F-Pro and XS-Pro. Please correct me if im wrong, coz both are still genuine. Only the ring materials are different, and thickness, the glass is just the same.Note about the alloy rings is that over time, the alloy thread 'melts' into the lens thread making it extremely difficult to remove, and only way is to practically destroy the filter to get it removed. Added on January 26, 2012, 6:18 pm QUOTE(Isepunye @ Jan 26 2012, 02:18 PM) nah, not really. there's also few photog which didnt bother what filter they use, chepo or expensive, even didnt use at all. Same goes to Drybox, buy chepo one, or DIY one, or even only use silica gel. But then ask yourself, spends thousand on the lens, y not spend some for the best filter as well as the best drybox. BTW it depends on the individuals itself, there no right or wrong. This post has been edited by Irbean: Jan 26 2012, 06:18 PM |

QUOTE(makaroni @ Jan 29 2012, 08:11 PM) between nikon 80-20mm f2.8 & nikon 70-200mm f2.8 vr1/vr2 which is bang for bucks? budget is a bit tight.. ive ask this question previously, and imo, its better to save few bucks to get VRII, no doubt at all.QUOTE(Agito666 @ Jan 29 2012, 08:14 PM) aiya didnt notice. hahahaQUOTE(seather @ Jan 29 2012, 08:15 PM) image-wise plus minus the same, how bout focusing speed? |

QUOTE(seather @ Jan 29 2012, 08:27 PM) i don think 4.4k vs 6.9k is a few bucks.... haha a few bucks + a few bucks + a few bucks = bunch of few bucks = can get the VRII for focus speed the new "re-released" AF-D version is still slower than the VR2 but not by much... if gonna shoot at low light @ 200mm... i guess VR2 is the obvious choice unless wanna carry a tripod around... 4 me personally, prefer the VR2... slowly saving up now |

QUOTE(makaroni @ Jan 29 2012, 09:00 PM) im not a fulltime pro, just part time wedding photographer thats why im still thinking its worth or not to burn all my money for vr2.. then u should answer it yourself. If you can grab the VRII, and get numerous wedding job, u still can gain the return from the lens. but its just my opinion, coz that's what i do rite now =) |
