hmm..guys, i have never bought any nikon flashes before. was thinking about the sb900. i read reviews and watch youtube, most of em said that the overheating prob sucks.

i dont do super fast events like red carpet shooting or whatever events that's super fast.

i do weddings mostly.

for those who's doing wedding as well n using the sb900, mind sharing ur experience? is it going to overheat easily if im using only the iTTL mode? or should i go for the sb700/800 instead?

good explanation bro, weight wise - i wud prefer lighter ones for allrounder type of thing n heavy ones for heavy duty events, thanks for the infos anyway. and yeah, most high ceilings indoor halls, i'd use the bounce card / lambency diffuser so no probs on that i suppose. power wise, sb700 is good enuf for indoor shootings? i might just consider it

It is just an f/4... compared to the previous 17-35 f/2.8 at similar pricing... :S

errr bean, correct me i'm wrong 16-35mm in FX is the equiv to 12-24mm in DX if mounted on its respective FX/DX body yes? The DX FOV of a 16-35mm is about the same as 18-55mm DX kitlens....

Yeap, the 2 pics taken outdoor on the ship are 6400 ISO. No choice, its kinda dark :S and this lens is just f/4... plus the ship is moving so I need higher shutter to prevent blur.

More to wonder who'll be using D800/D800E to shot actual day wedding. Oh my... just imagine shooting at the bombastic megapixels... 1TB HDD can contain how many days of shooting?
