ohh..so with my d3100, i can only buy dx lenses?

i have AF-S DX VR Zoom-Nikkor 55-200mm f/4-5.6G IF-ED and thought of selling it and get
AF-S DX NIKKOR 55-300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED VR

is it worth?

both almost same price but 1 longer range..  hmm.gif

im kinda into sports  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
that 70-300 AF lens dont have motor in their lens, if your dslr got no motor then you cannot use auto focus, only manual

your 55-200mm and 55-300mm is a slow focus lens with variable aperture, shoot in bright daylight then okay, indoor depends on lightning, at night shot at Hi0.3 ISO

if you can save up for the 70-200mm with constant f2.8 when it is better since they focus faster

A bit OE'd but meh, it's a test and I don't quite find the car distracting except you're taking from the wrong angle lah, cars appearing in light trail shots can be interesting biggrin.gif
Some say D7k is the replacement. No one knows. But D7k seems legit to be one for D90.
Isn't D7k replacement for D90? I mean, in a way...? lol =x
*
i use bulb mode and i open the shutter more than a minute with f22, ISO100

that is the only angle i can find in my house doh.gif

QUOTE(patienceGNR @ Mar 18 2012, 02:33 AM)
Discontinued BUT there are still stocks around and people are selling it expensive (including D3100, D5100, D7000) with reason "Thailand flood".
So basically it's between D300s and D90. and all along I thought it was same as D90 tongue.gif

Added on March 18, 2012, 2:40 amHere's to the forummers late at night. Tempting or not? hmm.gif

btw, a simple CnC so I know if I'm doing PP correctly or not.

increase exposure around 0.2, lighten the shadow, increase contrast and increase vibrance to make the food look rick in color and exposure to brighten the surrounding and feel like you are taking the picture under good lightning

that's what i normally did for my photo, i'm newbie in editing too and still leaning

lol~ probably out of the house just to experiment tongue.gif

hmm.gif I also learning how to take food photog technique. Learning from sifu goldfries~
I actually added some sharpening during PP. Made it look like noise it seems... hmm.gif but iinm ISO was at 400. Will expose it a little more nod.gif
There were cucumbers but not together with the satay doh.gif so I didn't thought of putting them together. Thanks anyway! Will improvise biggrin.gif
How come break down? iMac is so nice, use it in college and I jelly =/ wanna take all of it !
*
sometime you need to balance your sharpening with noise reduction

another method you can try is to use the sharpen function in adjustment brush to sharpen selective area

another way is to use high aperture and zone focus on the subject

or set the camera to hyperfocal distance and get everything in focus

If you're shoting from outside the chances of your equipments getting hit is like super low unless the person really doesnt like you and is aiming for you

but if you are like the photographer above who is in the field while taking action shots its a whole different story!
*
lens damage should be very low chance, but the paint shakehead.gif

now i have to find a way to DIY protection cover for my DSLR, my 55-300 no internal focus and internal zoom sweat.gif

normally i use 200iso on my d90 but never use l0.3, l0.7 and l1.0 before. what's the iso number for those 3 special numbers?
*
that's mean more than 6400 ISO around 10k ISO, that is for my D5100, not sure about yours

Sorry for the late reply, been busy. Well all you need is a mask and you're good to go! owh and a bright color shirt helps too laugh.gif

Yes that's me laugh.gif. I use the small towel to wrap around my lens cause there was a bit of drizzle that day tongue.gif
I've been taking photos of paintball games few times since 2010 and so far never get hit on my camera+lenses, only my body cry.gif . Just move a way when you think you're in the danger zone aka crossfire. Dont try to be like solomon, he was paid to cover the events so its necessary for him to have all those protection smile.gif . IIRC after the last event in Langkawi he had to send his gear to nikon for service and cost him like 24k or so.
*
i wonder if the paintball facility will provide the protection suit for us as well hmm.gif

24k for service shakehead.gif can buy D4 already

Well you can rent one of those "body armor" vest but tbh i only use it once then never again. First because its hot and second the paintballer all call it "sissy vest" laugh.gif

He sent it back to nikon of course, here's the fb link : sauce
*
repair is more expensive than buy a new one shocking.gif shocking.gif

i wonder if the paintball paint easy to clean up or not hmm.gif

usually if cost beyond a new unit then Nikon will offer you a slightly cheaper price for a brand new thing.

my friend paid 3k ish for a brand new 24-70 after he sent his barrel-broke-lens and was told unable to repair
*
gonna collect spoiled lens for the future lens that i wanted to buy biggrin.gif

this flower just open night 12pm bigger, any idea to make it more colorful? icon_question.gif
*
shoot raw, increase exposure, increase white, darken black, desaturate green by a bit to emphasize the flower

put 10-20 vibrance, contrast and a bit of clarity, use adjustment brush in lightroom to brush the yellow part of the flower to bring out the yellow with vibrance

darken the shadow to bring out the edge

that is all in lightroom, in real life, take a brush and paint it
