Great idea about the camera. I tried it right away, but then suddenly notice ics kang camera not a working, ah.... flex.gif

What to do, so went to install the samba app. It indeed has a rescan media option.
Thank you for your recommendation.  biggrin.gif

Yes. To make the gallery show the latest pictures in your tab. The tab needs to rescan media.

A simple way is to snap a pic.
Or install samba app, and use the rescan media function.

Usually the tab will refresh itself, but in case it didn't, you can always make it rescan media.

Ya hor, how leh?

Never thought of this before.
I think have to send back service center to change, for a non free price.

Or maybe 3rd party repair shop.
It is not user replaceable, but definitely replaceable by experts with the right skills and tools.

all the iPhone also can't change battery one.
All the 3gs people eventually forced to upgrade to ip4s.

Most likely 2 years later, we'll be using a new tab.
Probably the Asus pad phone. Check it out if you never heard of it before.

Strange but the 'Maps' work. And it works almost like a full GPS only there's no Audio.

Hi guys,

I was wondering if you guys have this problem with tabs used in Malaysia, which i feel it should not.

In 'Navigation', supposedly the GPS, it does not work giving a message "Google Maps Navigation is not yet available in this location".

Do you guys have this problem is its just me.
Thanks in advance.

Anyone faced the issue where photos transferred from the pc are in the tab (can view through file explorer) but it does not appear in the gallery?
*
How about snap a photo and let the Tab do a media rescan after that?

i saw this in the first page of sgs2 threat.
if you flash a custom rom that is not meant for your device, it will brick.

1. Battery level too low - ensure it is at least 50 % , prefarbly more
2. Flash a wrong rom file eg download a wifi only firmware and try flashing on a 3G./wifi model
3. Stupid user - who don't know how to follow instructions and try to be a hero ignoring some steps
4. No patient to wait for it to reboot - it can take up to 5-8 minutes and disconnect tab from PC after seeing the Samsung logo not moving

Frankly the chance you brick it is close to zero if you follow the above steps mentioned above

Means can't flash a compatible one after that?

If cannot boot to download mode than off to service center to reflash rom
As I said before it is very unlikely you can fully brick it - one in a million I'd say; semi brick 1 in a thousand ?
Just follow the instructions ; don't skip any step

Many users in sgs II , tab n note thread has successful claim warranty with rooted n even flashed phones. Most of the time service center do not bother about it
I have 5 experience past 3 years claiming warranty on obviously rooted n flashed phones

If you really scared of bricking, read the instructions carefully.
No one can reassure you. Even if warranty is free, it will be very troublesome.

Again, read instructions carefully during flashing.
Btw, mine also bought from courts, first thing I do when got it, it read xda how to root.
Couldn't care less about the warranty.
