erm, I would like to ask the fellow LYN members here, if using the YES 4G extensively or mainly for making skype video calls and simple internet surfing, as well as youtubing . Would it be alright or ideal ?
Thanks for any info or opinion smile.gif

the maximum speed you will get after speed throttled is 128 kbps. which means from 0-128 kbps. so u do the maths biggrin.gif

alot of user will say upfront, 'i use very little only, just normal email and fb only' but due YES is too fast, alot of users suffer speed throttled which all users watch youtube with amazing speed. so before you subscribe to Yes, do make sure you choose the right plan and don't kedekut on your budget.
You are using a "high end" service smile.gif

at least, there isn't any bill shock at the end of the month like other telco. Eventually, it will be have top up quota option to regain back the speed.

If you are looking for GO, try out their GSP first. which is u pay rm 100 upfront but u get 50 rebate for u to try out( 1.66gb) at least u can try how long u can serve u. if u can use it for 2 weeks, go for Super 68 which provide 4gb. if not try out Super 98 which provide u a lit bit more usage.

But just to let you know for their Products, everything are non-refundable so better try out their prepaid first

i was thinking of getting yes. just for gaming, nothing else. example bf3,mw3, dota2 etc etc.

surfing the net and all i will still continue use my home's wifi.

reason for getting this is because i want to play games without any lag. was thinking of getting zoom. but rm48 per month, meaning 1.5gb of data.

or should i get the prepaid? once used finish just top up.

any recommendations?

thanks a bunch smile.gif

just finish my qouta and max speed now is 128kbps. my package is Super68.

try doing the calculation,
Super48: RM48/1.5GB = 0.0320 cent/MB
Super68: RM68/4.0GB = 0.0170 cent/MB
Super98: RM98/6.0GB = 0.0163 cent/MB
Super168: RM168/10.0GB = 0.0168 cent/MB

Super48 is not worth to pick up, even prepaid is cheaper (not sue what ytl ppl is thinking). Super168 is little bit more expensive than Super98!!

Performance wise, not much to complain. normal speed up to 10Mbps with 3 bar connection.

i'm not really sure, that's why i'm asking. hahaha. but does playing online games really take that much data? cause i think rm48 yes package for a month, which is 1.5gb is enough for online gaming? yawn.gif

why don't you just grab the starter pack first and use the rebate. see how the usage. and then if you satisfied you upgrade to postpaid plan.
