Good news is SS14 section of the viaduct will soon be completed. Bad news is I wonder if this reeks of inefficiency on TRC's part.

wanna ask u something kampung..
been jln2 along USJ couple of times..near the da men construction project..
why the girders..pilar..track ar so high and wide??then..where it ended??
link up to kesas highway or where??

maybe i can try to answer you based on what i think it is. could be wrong laugh.gif

It is wide because of its integration with BRT. You can choose to continue the trip should you wish to go elsewhere without getting off the platform level.

It is high up for possible flyover along that stretch

Drive through nkve today and spot some workers on top of the lrt bridge across the road where the missing link is. The missing link suppose to connect to the other lrt line and the gap is like 2 meters wide. Quite scarry to see the suporting pillars is so far apart by the sideof the highway and the tip of the lrt bridge looks potruding and hanging onn top of the road. By the way im glad to see there IS someone working on the lrt extension tho the number of lrt workers is not as vibrant as mrt

no worries, this is called the cantilever bridge design... super safe despite the way it looks.

Read in their websites target completion by 1Q 2016. Delayed from June 2015.

As of Sept 2013, KJ line is at 56.48%, and AMPG line is at 34.32% completion. A year has passed since then, got another 1 1/2 year before the dateline. I doubt they can reach that.

2016 is impossible. it needs 6 months for testing. one year + to put the rails in place assuming the viaducts are all done but the sad fact is it isn't. so nope.. fat chance it will definitely need another year extension. i won't put any timeline to it until the viaducts along Kesas/Summit and KTM are done.

TRC is now building two cantilever bridges across Federal Highway and NPE. I am not that worried when i first saw it extending over NKVE but after 3 mishaps I have reason to worry.

I look at the viaducts really so small compared to the MRT ones lol especially the cantilever ones before 1U.
