@FallenOut Well, at least we have japan and china file hosting sites left. Stupid FBI vmad.gif I suggest u hold back from cm9, makes ur phone run really really hot, and battery life's not really that good, 2hrs screen on time then phone flat out. Unless u just wanna try for fun, I won't recommend it for daily usage yet

I connect my S2 to my laptop and then I use wireless keyboard, which I can type about 80-120wpm..
Super fast for posting in lowyat forum or texting messages..

If I don't have my laptop, then I would use the samsung keypad, to me its faster than swype..
Maybe my swyping skills ain't as good as some of you...

V5 is soft release because JKAY did not release the new build yet. Also, team CheckROM awaiting for official ICS source thingy before they release that.

So, a soft release is given out by GadgetCheck in one of the post. Careful, it is a full wipe and it don't work with ICS theme. Another bummer is no JKAY so....

But I just flashed it as I seen SOOOOO many people saying it is good for both performance and battery life. For me, smoothness, is insane. Really good. Battery wise, doing a full charge now and see.

i look at the changelog
a few things were borrowed from siyah
the rest is mostly wat every kernel has
the best is tat
it got lionheart n lionheartx
i love this governor when i use void last time
but as i said b4
those new things
all were borrowed from siyah

the best thing bout this
in my opinion
the name phoenix
n its like somethin
makin ur own version of phoenix kernel
wit all those settings

those is the part i like
bt rm12 for those
abit steep

same here
i dun see much own creations there to justify the price
the most special being the governor

i just wish gokhan quickly did his own app
at least if its the same price
i would gladly buy it
he is the first to put many new things in his kernel

some forumers ask knzo to reduce
bt he said no
if he do decrease it bout rm8 then i can think bout it

Agreed. Man, if this is changing to pay pay pay, I think this is definitely heading to apple's pay pay pay thing.

Hmm!

Added on January 25, 2012, 4:51 amGuys, I was checking out Phoenix kernel and this reply really made me felt pff:

Quote from one of the dev: I don't have an answer for that.

The current charging interface is from gokhanmoral and it's implemented on phoenix like it is on neak and siyah. I can assure you it's there, it's being built and it's working. So I don't really know what to tell you... I can test it again though but my car is in the mechanic this week.
For me, c'mon. You want to charge for something yes I get it but for you to answer that, man, something is wrong buddy. Arhh maybe I am just a little 'unhappy' about the charging thing. smile.gif
*
it seems
they just copied it from siyah kernel witout knowin actually what it do
it works or not also not sure
this does not justify the price even if its usd 0.99
puttin somethin on their own kernel
bt not knowin what it does
tat is one epic answer

if u r on checkrom v4
there is a theme restorer for it at xda
flash that n you will b ok

back to this kzno
he really cant explain what his tweaks do much
i aint gettin anywhere near his kernel
i did follow his work on void kernel n he did claim lionheart was somethin he created
he added somethin from siyah n he couldnt explain what it do

ok skip this kzno

i think we may need to find some new hostin sites for roms n such
seein the rate in which all hoster gets taken down

this is what i did.

1. download black android fusion and moved the file to phone
2. run to recovery mode
3. install the zip file
4. restart, and then it kept hanging there.

i am not very familiar in terms of rooting / installing custom, but am taking baby steps to learn.

i bought my phone which was already rooted but using stock rom i believe. i have tried rooting again using odin- but my pc wont detect my phone. also tried search for theme restorer in xda, but failed.
