Hey, may I know which way is the safer way, flashing rom using ODIN, or putting the rar file into the phone memory and then flashing using CWM??

Thanks..

Omg, I was so close to flashing a new ROM...
I already wiped factory settings and so on...
Before that, I already placed a folder containing a zip file on my sd card.

But when I boot into CWM, I can't find the zip file..
Did I do something wrong...

I got scared and I just restore data..

I am really confused on where to place the zip file..

Finally, after few months, I successfully flashed a single ROM.
Batista 70 Snakes..

Hmm, but I wonder how can people from antutu benchmark get 10000 score..
That is so awesome....

But I was wondering, for the overclocking is based on the ROM itself or the kernel??
Thanks..

Hey, can somebody really help me..
I already backup my stock rom using nandroid.

But now I want to restore my stock rom back..
Should I hit the restore button or should I go to advanced restore and hit the button with the date on it..
I really need your help...

Hey, err..
I cannot flash back to stock ROM just by clicking on the wipe cache and dalvik, and by just restoring, it still restores back to my CUSTOM ROM..

After doing some research, it seems that I still need to use ODIN, to flash back the official firmware..
And so I have done it already...

And now I am back to the stock rom..
But I want o upgrade to 2.3.6..

I went to the XDA developers..
And I saw Frankenstein Firmwares..

It is safe to download Frankenstein Firmwares??

Thanks..

Yes ; never heard or read any disaster flashing it - try reading all the users comments on the respective thread at XDA to have a better idea
And guys - do give him/or her a break. If he/she is asking serious questions, do help out if you know the answer
*
Okay thanks Benny...
I was asking really serious questions btw...

I just thought that if some people here have flashed Frankenstein Firmwares, maybe could give some feedback..

Since u did do a nandroid backup of stock rom, u can just go into cwm, backup and restore, select restore/restore from internal sdcard(depends where ur backup is), select the backup file then wait till it finish restore then done

Thanks alot, but actually I tried that already..
Before this I was on Batista ROM..
But then I did the restore for the stock ROM..
But still it came back to the custom ROM..
I did some research, and some people said that even if wiped cache, or factory reset, cannot get back to stock ROM..
The only way is to flash the original firmware using ODIN..

Is it true, for my case it was true..

Hmm.. hmm.gif hmm.gif

Never had such a problem that restoring nandroid backup won't change back to the rom of the nandroid backup hmm.gif  u sure u did what I said?
*
Actually, I went to Advanced Backup and I click on the Date I did the backup..
But to my dismay, when the phone rebooted, it is still Batista ROM...
I thought maybe the date I remembered was wrong, so I clicked on the second date..
Still the same, when back to BATISTA rom....

So I just did some research, it seems there are people facing the same problem..
And the solution stated was just to flash back the original firmware using ODIN...

How do you root your phone? after rooting thru Odin on the first time with any CF kernel, you will have CWM and Superuser in ur phone. You should have done the TB for your stock rom at this moment before you flash any Custom ROM.

I think I root my phone using the One Click Root Method...
I also flashed the Clockworkmod Recovery independently...
It means I have to use CF in order to work??

Restore will restore everything so you get back the original rom you backup. Advance restore will only restore part of a backup so of cos you still stuck on the same rom.

Okay, thanks...
I will try it out..

Hey guys, I have met a problem again...
I have 2 Gameloft games. One is BIA free and another one is Asphalt 6.
I found that I cannot fully close them.
Even I exit them at task manager, I feel like they are still draining my battery.
After I exit BIA free+, I still need to force close at its application details page.
This 2 apps also cannot be cleared on the battery usage screen, even after fully charged and restarted.

I'm more sure of this problem when I woke up just now. Yesterday night I fully charged the phone and the apps show 2 - 3% of battery usage. I assume that the battery usage page is cleared, but those 2 apps still draining the juice.
After 2 hours, they 2 turned 12%!!!!!!!
And before I install these 2 apps, the battery graph is nearly horizontal.
With this 2 game at the battery usage list, the graph becomes steeper (decrease faster).

Can someone help me out?
I'm using G version...
*
Never had that problem...
Maybe you could try to restart your phone...
Or reinstall the games..
