QUOTE(livery_critle @ Feb 2 2012, 09:49 AM) my house a corner house like yours, unifi router at Ground floor front side,my home office 2nd floor back side. To be honest it not strong enough. Im not a tech geek so i just used TP link 7200ND adapter for my desktop in the home office. Signal strength sometime full bar some time 4/5. If using my Galaxy S2 to connect through wifi from my home office the signal would be 1/5 the most. Then your issue is the router the best bet change it or rewrite your router to higher location or pull a network cane to your home office.for the Levelone WBR6003 mayb other forumer can answer it for you Using asus rt56u it's coverage is awesome can cover very far |

QUOTE(josenigel @ Feb 4 2012, 04:40 PM) Hi all, just got my Unifi VIP5 installed this morning. I am happy with everything except my wifi reception. In my room where it is all installed, its great but when I cross to the second room signal drops and eventually disconnects due to no signal That's what U get for free. U need upgrade to a better router it helps to expand the network and best get a wireless n adapter as well if u do not haveOverall, everything is good. Tested D/L a couple of Torrent files with Utorrent and speeds were excellent! BTW I am reporting in from Taman Sri Gombak! |

QUOTE(investor @ Feb 9 2012, 12:32 AM) Damn, if I know rattan will definitely apply unifi from him. I apply my unifi from cold call. Now my installation upside down. The stupid installer do half way and left my place which my internet still not up. Today, I have enough already called the CS to complain and luckily the CS listen to me and will send another installer to fix and solve all my problem. Then suddenly the stupid installer call me back pula said tomorrow come solve my problem. Hahaha. Look like he heard my complain and sudah takut. I don't understand why you blame the installer. It's your mistake for not doing proper research. It Is what it is the installer can twist how they want. I order my unifi online without going thru agent and when installer come they want charge me rm400 for pulling network cable. They fix standard installation within 2 hours. If they delay report to unifi. As long as you don't sign the paper they can't charge you. If you are so pro you should get external contractor to do the cabling works they come they just do termination and testing for you. Stop blaming the installer it's real life they charge me rm5 per meter for network cable I go buy a network cable 30m and pay for labour also they take. Once called CS my internet is up hmmm, must be heard my complain already. Now only the Hypp TV still haven't setup for me. Hope the stupid installer will settle it for me and bring along the long ethernet cable. First tipu me said no such thing as free 15m cable celaka. Very frustration this 5 days. Appointment for installation on 04/02/2012 today already 09/02/2011 haaaiiiiiii. Most kids today they just want unifi but they never think how they should install and what should do so installer come get slaughter. It's their way of making money the usual standard installation wiring is fugly nearly 7/10 just let them install ugly. Added on February 9, 2012, 9:16 am QUOTE(uGinn @ Feb 8 2012, 04:04 PM) I just got my unifi installed today..10mbps.. But I don't want to use the router they give which is the DIR-615. I wanna ask is the DIR-655 is usable on unifi? Because I'm using that for my streamyx last time. Thanks. I recommend u to change to tplink 1043ndThis post has been edited by aspire2oo6: Feb 9 2012, 09:33 AM |
